First Snow Storm of this Winter
Funny, sad, yum, and true (the shirt), and not in that order. And yes, Caledonia was a long ride. To fend off boredom, I think I found maybe 20 or 30 different routes for the commute. But was hard to avoid the interstate.

First Snow Storm of this Winter
We dodged a bullet here in the middle Peninsula; however, just north of us in Williamsburg, a few inches. My eldest had to drive to work up there as the temps dropped, lots of cars spun out due to slick conditions along the Colonial Parkway. Another son out near Farmville said they got over 12". And @J Francho, I absolutely hated the commute to Rochester back when I worked downtown in the 90s. I remember days driving home (Caledonia) and the sun was directly in my eyes on 490, and the road was a sheet of ice. I loved the summers, but hated the winters. Potholes big enough to swallow Ford Fiestas, LOL. But yeah, unless an act of God intervened, not even skating rink highways stopped the commute.

Kamusta!
Welcome aboard, Gary! Cardiovascular sport of bass fishing, eh? I'd have thought rock climbing was more-so. At least for me, my heart would be pumping overtime in fear of heights, LOL.

High End Rods
Welcome aboard! Depending on where you are in VA, there are some places that will carry higher end rods. Bishop's Bait & Tackle comes to mind, in Yorktown on Rte 17, though he does mostly saltwater business.

Best tackle box (pictures)
Yup. You got that right. I've had that happen a few times, so I got VERY observant and always leave at least one top latch shut when I'm out on the water...bottom is closed most of the time.

Best tackle box (pictures)
I've been all over the map in terms of this topic. Backpacks, worm bags, "regular" tackle boxes, utility boxes, and so forth. I currently use a Plano Guide Series box for freshwater, something similar for salt. That said, I am ALWAYS looking for more efficient methods. I *almost* went with what @Catt and @J Francho like. That may be on my radar in 2019 to try out. I really like BPS's utility boxes for senko and other soft plastic storage....
