  1. That is nasty, never seen that before. I would definitely report to the DNR.
  2. It can be very challenging, I've done it before, you're better of waiting for spring time.
  3. Mine are: patience Desire and Passion Have my own secretive selection of lures that work on every lake.
  4. Even if you can't tell what kind of bass it is, you usually know by how well they fight. Smallmouth bass fight so much better than a largemouth.
  5. Wouldn't mind going, but things have been tight with money these days. Still might go though, haven't been to one of these in a long time.
  6. Congrats!
  7. Yeah, I think certain people get that. I know I felt my eyes adjusting when I first put them on, actually felt a little a little tension in my forehead. Kind of felt like a little headache, but after 20 minutes in the movie it went away. Makes me wonder if these 3d glasses are safe for your eyes. I definitely wouldn't wear them a lot that's for sure. The movie though was incredible! It has a big meaning behind it, kind of what's going on today or even back in the past. Reminds me of when our ancestors took the land away from Indians. Then began our pollution of the earth! I tell you, if were not careful we won't be able to fish in 10 years or so. Be honest with you I'd rather have mother nature than our stupid electronics, but that's just me. Same here. 3D glasses = instant headache for me. Plus, it's not as if they actually make the movies look real, it just makes them look different than the normal movies. I prefer the way the normal movies look.
  8. Cool, sounds like you had fun. Man do I love eating bluegills, very tasty dish!
  9. That's pretty wild, I bet Catfish would eat a strawberry too.
  10. Never heard of an eddy, this is definitely a good tip.
  11. Great to see more women on board, welcome!
  12. Great to see a guy from Portugal on here, that's why I love the internet.
  13. Awesome, I definitely think changing up your lake or pond is a great way. It can be a lot more fun too!
  14. Man wish I could go, never been to one before.
  15. Nothing like a tail, but I've seen all types of battle wounds. That one is unique, you should definitely save that picture! Maybe even get it framed. I think it's definitely a battle wound.
  16. I marked yes, but I'm still not sure on the topic. I have mixed feelings. I know you've all been there where you've see fisherman bragging that they're catching fish one after the other on live bait. And you're using artificial. To me that kind of eats me up inside, I have little respect for these fisherman that brag. It doesn't take much skill to fish with live bait. On the other hand, world record is a world record. No one should be denied or putting in another category for their winnings. I guess if I had a choice again, I'd mark no.
  17. Welcome! I never been part of any fishing clubs before, how did that go?
  18. Anyone see this episode of Monster Quest on the History channel. The YouTube video is just a shortened version of it, I actually think there were two episodes of monster size freswhater fish. Might be more, but these few episodes are worth buying. I just love the part where they talked about monster size Muskie. There were some good fish stories in there. I think on one episode one of the Lindner brothers made an appearance. He took a small rc device to navigate under the ice while the water was frozen, tried to pick up some monster size muskie. That was very cool! I never knew Lake Trout can get that big as they described in the video. I hope this isn't a repost, if so, sorry moderators.
  19. Start from the bottom and work your way up. First off start with a website, put videos on there, build traffic to your site. Once you become popular and fully noticed, then maybe you can do a proposal to a big network. YouTube is great way to get exposure.
  20. Awesome video, do like that kayak. I found the one kayak I wanted to suggest. It may be expensive, I thought it would be cool to post anyways. It's called the Hobie Mirage Drive Kayak, got a new way to propel across the lake. Don't have to worry about batteries or rowing, let your legs do the work.
  21. I would just take it to a professional boat place to help seal the leak.
  22. I second that, definitely need hand warmers. That's the biggest part of my body that always suffers, man I hate the cold!
  23. Gitzit for me, caught a lot of nice smallmouth bass this year with it. Also a few other fish, the way it moves in the water is great. It just glides, perfect for jigging. It's the way the fins are setup on the lure, really help it out. This was the first year I used it, I was very impressed. My brother turned me onto the lure, I have him to thank. If you haven't tried out the Gitzit, I highly recommend it!
  24. Gitzit jigs are just dynamite on Smallmouth. Also either the beetle spin or Bomber crankbait. I do like using Berkley Powerbait on smallmouth too. You really have to be at a good lake to catch these strong fish, as certain lakes aren't very populated with them.
