  1. Spending a few more bucks just adds to my fishing pleasure. More fish, I can not answer that, but I do like a more sensitive rod and a lighter reel.
  2. Try to stay within the limits printed on the rod and you should be fine. Let that guide you as to whether you need a Med. or MH. I like the Avid line from St. Croix.
  3. Make it a spinning rod. I lean towards St.Croix and GLoomis spinners.
  4. The word "small" is not a good thing. Can you tow with a "Small" SUV, yes. Now for the stopping part. Small tires, small brakes, small vehicle. Not much stopping power in a "Small" SUV. Having brakes on the trailer would help. Just say'in
  5. I'm sorry, but to me "In Stock" means in house ready to sell.
  6. Right now it sucks. Once warmer weather moves in it should pick up.
  7. Don't over think it. Clear blue fluorescent line will be just fine.
  8. I got a couple of cardboard tubes from my local BPS. "Free"
  9. Note to "Boaters", Please do not pull the trolling motor up then sprint to the console and fire the motor while I have 30 yards of line out. Note to "Non Boater", Work something out in advance with the Boater so you are in your seat with life jacket on ready to go when the Boater fires the motor up.
  10. Part of the problem with mono is, not all 10lb test lines have the same diameter.
  11. What are your reel line suggested limits?
  12. Anybody have one? I have a 25hp Merc and thinking about putting one on for some Pa. Susquehanna river smallmouth fishing. Thought's, good, bad? Thanks
  13. I have a 50e and squeeze everything out of it I can. I am not to concerned about what it will not throw until after I throw it.
  14. Nope. I am on the water to get away from all the noise.
  15. Not to fast on there "over the counter" policy. My Cabelas (Hamburg Pa.) will not do a over the counter. Just their standard 90 day return policy. They told me that they do not "Participate" in the return program.
  16. With out talking to the powers to be, if you tell them 17ft. and it is 17 1/2ft you are not only breaking the rules but lying as well. Rules are made for reasons. Cover your butt, talk to your water authority. If you get the Ok to use your boat get that persons name, in case someone else wants to question you.
  17. I have not but a well known "smallie" guide in my area uses it exclusively. It's pretty cool looking line. I like the camo type colors. Give it a shot and let us know your thoughts.
  18. I use mono because, I do not like everything else.
  19. I have used Trilene XL for quite awhile. I just picked up a spool of 6# Yo Zuri Hybrid ultra soft. I use 6# for spinning. It seems to me that the ultra soft has a bit more stretch in it verses the Trilene XL. Yes, no, maybe?
  20. Depending on the distance, use a straightent out metal coat hanger.
