  1. wow.... these posts... I'm going barbless
  2. I had that happen to me and oh boy does it hurt. I was fishing with my dad and he wanted to yank it out. THIS IS NOT A "YANK IT OUT" OCCASION.
  3. I can only dream.....
  4. My forecast isn't as nice we might get 50 which would be awesome, but the lows for this week are in the teens and most days wont even hit 35
  5. Im not a shimano guy, but my Caius (69.99) casts the smaller cranks quite well on 10lb flouro. I would assume it gets better as you go up the scale. The only beef I have with the Caius is that it doesn't hold much line.
  6. I would recommend the Wright & Mcgill 6'8" Rick Clunn reaction rod. It is really really nice for the price and TW has them on sale for $64
  7. May-October is all i get
  8. At least you caught something! that spider is scary!
  9. There are lots of ways to "peg" your weight. It simply means keeping the slip sinker held to the head of your worm so it doesn't slide up your line. You can use bobber stops, tooth picks and specialty stops made to peg a sinker.
  10. that's a pretty good deal, PQ's are alot like revo's I hear. Other than that the shimano caius is 69.99 and is identical to the caenan (except breaking system is external on caius-not a bad thing) the caenan retails 89.99 both cast very well.
  11. netbait usually comes in larger pack sizes. 20 pack trick worms.
  12. Very nice sized brook! I get a month of trout fishing starting Saturday! I can't wait, it helps lessen the cabin fever.
  13. 20 in wisconsin with an extra 10 for trout
  14. I'd throw it down on a combo. probably a spinning one.
  15. <---- This one was caught in late October last year on a Booyah Pad Crasher. It was about 29 degrees and raining. I caught it about 12 feet off the bank in open water, which was maybe 4 feet deep. I was fishing from shore working it like you would a suspending jerkbait. with very very small jerks. jerk....jerk..........jerk.............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................takes a nap...................................................jerk.....slurp!
  16. Abu vengence 7'6" MH with a Quantum accurist I use 50 or 65lb Spiderwire Stealth braid. I'll flip with just about any soft plastic; Last year Berkely Havoc baits and zoom centipedes worked very well.
  17. I had a lot of luck with the Spro Mcstick 95 this fall, a few bass every trip. Oh, and the pike liked it too
  18. Asking fishing buddies/relatives/anyone really about fishing on your local lakes too. We have upwards of 9 inches already here in WI
  19. Rage toad moves more water than my outboard! makes a great search bait; cast and wind until you get a fish/hit, then I slow down with a hollow belly.
  20. thats how it is in my neck of the woods, ive caught maybe 4 fish that have gone over 3lbs, 2 of them are my PB's topping at 3-9. and this is in 4 seasons of bass fishing
  21. I tied my PB early this spring at 3lb 9oz. not bad, looking for a 4 or 5 pounder next year
  22. THANK YOU BigMoneyGrip!! I tried to wait until Christmas to open the package, but that didn't happen Thank you so much, you didn't need to spend this much money on an anonymous person but I'm glad you did! I love the gifts, they are all awesome products I can't (but have to) wait to try! I challenge anyone to post a better gift than the one I received from BigMoneyGrip
  23. Same here, but i found some awesome stuff to send. package sent today
  24. I think its just a matter of time before manabu pulls another one out of lake biwa in Japan
