  1. When pitching from the bank, all you have to do is not lower the rod so much, you need a little more flick of the wrist but It shouldn't be too hard, just takes some practice (like everything else). flipping from bank is the same but i don't really do it that much.
  2. Its abnormally cold out? It's pretty cold this morning and im wondering if i should make a lure change.
  3. I like stren superknot, its very strong and cheap!
  4. BEAUTIFUL! idk how fatal shad will catch em, but that pattern is SICK!
  5. lucky lure usually changes every year
  6. You should contact strikeking, there are lots of people who have had defects with lures on here and they get them replaced with no charge.
  7. I live in elk mound right outside ofeauclaire, I mainly fish small ponds and lakes with lots of shoreline, cuz I dont get the boat out much.
  8. I have a strike king series 4s called the bulldozer cuz i clipped the middle hook off both trebles I was teaching my cousins from arizona who dont fish hot to catch bass and he caught one on " that bad little worm" which was an oxblood red berkley hand pour worm Lastly my brother calls all stick baits a "yamanomosenkominnow."
  9. I enjoy a good bass fishing pun every now and then
  10. I like em all, they all catch fish. I love flipping style lures and finesse worms. I'd have to say my favorite flippin bait is the havoc pit boss. As for my favorite finesse worms, its a tie between roboworms and BiteIt Baits ninja worm - they have some nice action when walked, and the tail foats
  11. wow toughy, gotta be some shade of watermelon though. watermelon: seed, candy, and red are favorites. next in line is green pumpkin, then a black and blue/red or junebug
  12. thats tough! but I gotta go with Ish's phat frog next in line would be an xcalibur zell pop and rapala skitterwalk
  13. 1 is average 2 is uncommon 0 happens more than 2 High school Blows!
  14. Wish my Mcdonalds salary would let me impulse buy like that! haha no, but I am a pretty bad impulse buyer, I've got enough flipping plastics to last me for years, and its tearing me up because my local spots have fighting frogs and hyperfreaks for like $1.50 a pack. And northlands for .99. I die a little walking by clearance lures and not getting any.
  15. I have 8lb on my crank setup and my topwater/misc setup and I plan to keep it like that. 8lb works great. I had 6lb flouro a few years ago, it casted well but the backlashes were frequent.
  16. In really murky water, would an all black crank be better than a chartreuse one?
  17. besides just plain catching fish and having a blast, i found a handful of old junky lures on a cold day when i got skunked. I dont plan on using them, but it brightened up my day. Also, another day i got skunked I found an older panfish rig. Which i still use . OH! and recently I've been teaching my dad how to use a baitcaster. He never thought he'd get it, but he liked it after a couple days.
  18. The two days ive been out its been okay. the first day i caught about ten bass. And I pulled a "5 pounder" on shore and it weighed 3lbs 9oz LOL. Which Ties my personal best:). The water was really murky and i caught em on day one by flipping a jig n pitboss, and on a double colorado spinnerbait. Day two i only caught two fish, but the water was more murky and I didnt fish nearly as long as i did the first. I caught em on a chartreuse chatterbait
  19. Its been really warm, but raining a lot lately, I don't think they are spawning yet. The temperature has been bipolar lately, for months it has been 2 weeks hot then 2 weeks cold. right now, the air temp has been in the 70-80's all week. Water should be warm with some color to it. I expect the fish to be shallow and a good spinnerbait bite on!
  20. Exactly, learn to saturate an area before moving on.
  21. BOSS finesse flip jig with a waveworm grass craw
  22. fishing season opens Saturday (FINALLY) and I'm tweaking right now, needing to head out and fish. I haven;t fished since October!
  23. ALL TERRAIN BABY
  24. I'd say 3/0. 4/0 are slightly too big for 4in craws and creatures, which is a lot of my fishing.
