Rod Advice
I've said it time and time again. The 7'8 Kovert is my favorite rod in that line up. It is not a broom stick which I hate, it has a great tip on so you can feather your cast next to cover. I stopped calling it a flipping stick because I find the rod to be quite versatile. I've thrown a Carolina rig, flutter spoon, umbrella rig and still experimenting. Au Garcia rods are a bit heavier than what they are marked being I had a 7'6 veritas when they first came out. Check out the 7'8 man you will love it.

Denali Kovert?
Kovert rods are great. The really focused on making this a lightweight durable rod. I went flipping all day with the 7'8 xh and you would forget you had a flipping stick in your hand. It's that light and really moves the fish. I would honestly like to know where you have found bad reviews, because the is nothing bad about this line up. And behind the rod customer service at Denali rods is phenomenal! That's is something they take pride in taking care of customers. If you have anymore specific questions about the movers series shoot me a pm.

Denali Jadewood
I have the Jadewood 7 ft crankbait rod and I throw 1.5 square bills all the way up to series 5 crankbaits on it. The rod handles great and i was surprised at the distance i could get throwing little square bills. Honestly the saying is get the best possible that you can afford. The Rosewood is going to be more sensitive. The Jadewood blanks are IM7 blanks and the Rosewood are IM8 blanks. So it depends on your budget it you need to save a few dollars nothing wrong with the Jadewood, if money isn't an issue treat yourself to a Rosewood. Can't go wrong with either choice! Let me know if you have any more questions.

My Two New Set Ups. I Need Some Advice
X's 3 with the seaguar invizx. Tie an Albright knot to join braid to florocarbon. Unless your fishing around a lot of gnarly stuff like rock and brush etc etc I would consider one setup straight florocarbon especially if the water is clear. If you are worried about price you can't beat seaguar red label. I use a Denali jade wood 7' spinning rod with 10th braid to a 6-8lb floro leader for my shakey head fishing. Super sensitive.

Spinnerbait Vs Swim Jig
I choose a trailer depending on how I'm fishing that day. On the swim jig i choose between a rage tail grub, rage craw, or the caffeine swimming shad. I usually go with grubs or craw if I'm near docks because i can skip it better and a shad type trailer for open water. On the pure poison swim jig i try to stick with a fluke style trailer without the boot tail so it does not impede on the action of the blade. Just remember to keep it simple and if it feels good and looks good do it.

Spinnerbait Vs Swim Jig
A swim jig or bladed jig to me is a less flashy presentation than a spinner bait and can be put in places where a spinner bait cannot. They can be fished is thick vegetation as well as open water and I don't think many guys are doing it unless they are on a lake where that is the predominant pattern. Give it a try and experiment with different trailers.

Denali Kovert Or St.croix Mojo
I have to say I would pick the Kovert as well. By the time you get it shipped it should be under your budget still. The 6'10 would be a great choice and you could also use this rod for multiple techniques. You only live once!

Revo Sx Vs Stx
Get the best you can afford. If you can spare the extra $40 go for the stx. You wont be dissapointed and you will get longer life outta the reel as long as you take care of it!

Any Bass Clubs In Upstate South Carolina
Yea that sounds good. Yea im not worried about big money starting out or expensive dues. Im more interested in a group of guys learning different lakes and getting some tourney experience. Of course a little side pot and low entry fee wouldnt hurt. I want to learn from different guys in our area. I know that there are some sticks in the upstate

Any Bass Clubs In Upstate South Carolina
I have been going to Hartwell more and more the last year just to increase my experience on big water. I think we definitely need to start a club. I wouldnt want to be president or anything but would like to be on the board of members. If we can get enough guys together maybe we can start a club! I know 2 or 4.

Any Bass Clubs In Upstate South Carolina
Interested as well. Maybe we should get together and start our own. There is a club that fishes tourneys on Lake Bowen. Id rather go to the bigger lakes Hartwell, Murray, even Greenwood. Thoughts......

Swim Jig Vs Crankbait
As stated swim jigs and spinnerbaits are more arguable. However this time a year I lean more towards bladed swim jigs bc of the tight vibration. They are more comparable to crankbaits imo. When choosing one from the other it all depends on cover structure and the mood of the bass. I like strike king swim jigs in the hack attack version due to the stronger hook. The pure poison swim jig is awesome to although you have to be mindful of the trailer you choose to keep the blade tracking properly. All in all the swim/vibrating jig is my go to search bait.

What Rod Should I Get For Jig, T Rigs And Spinnerbaits
I would get something between 6'10 and 7'2 medium heavy to heavy. Check out the Denali Kovert series, they come in well under your budget and they are super sensitive! http://www.denalirods.com/kovert72mhwormandjig.aspx

Frog Rod/reel Setup
I would always always always roll with baitcasting gear whem it come to frog fishing. A super high speed reel (im gonna deploy an 8:1 MGX) instead of a 7:1 not so much to take up slack for a hook set but to get the frog back to the boat and make more cast per day. Denali has a frog rod in their Rosewood series that is 6'10 H. They also have a signature series where Mark Tyler has a 7'4 H multipurpose rod with a mod fast tip, and a Ray Schiede 7'4 H fast tip. Any of those would make great frog set ups. Hope this helps

Baitcaster With Braid Help Please
Is there a particular reason you prefer braid? Try tying a short leader w/an albright knot using braid and fluorocarbon. For upgrading rods check out Denali on Tackle Warehouse. They got some sales going on.
