  1. Did you order the Met from TW with the 20% off Rico blem consolation prize coupon?
  2. Seems to be working for all reels except for Shimano. The discount is showing for Daiwa.
  3. I was hoping someone would try it out first before me haha. I'd love to pick up a couple Curado 150s.
  4. Thanks for the replies guys! I'm definitely gonna pick some up!
  5. Anybody out there using these? I know they're not waterproof but some of the sizes are intriguing, particularly the smaller options. Just wondering if anyone can provide insight on construction/durability, etc.
  6. There is just too much product out there, it's nice to have the pros tell you what's available. I've never bought something solely because a certain pro endorses it, nor will I. I see what everyone is hockin and if something looks cool to me, I buy it. I will admit though, that I will NOT buy certain things simply because of who endorses it or has their stamp on it. It's petty, I know, but there are just certain folks I refuse to give my money to.
  7. Midway has a bunch of good stuff for 40-50% off. Daiwa BLX rods at 49% off...clear'em out fellas!
  8. That guy on the far left needs a buddy. It's throwing off the potential, aesthetic perfection of that box! That'll do the job!
  9. You're missing one! You need to rectify that asap!
  10. The frogg toggs pilot pro in real tree blue is still $99 on the website.
  11. Fishermans Heaven has 25% off Lews reels. Use code lews25 https://fishermensheaven.com/product-category/fishing-reels/?utm_source=WordPress+Website&utm_campaign=16ea1097dd-2021JuneSale_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_719144083f-16ea1097dd-260528606&mc_cid=16ea1097dd&mc_eid=34d6d1b72d
  12. Honestly couldn't tell you. I had the original pilot bibs and jacket but returned them because of the fit. I can tell you that they felt pretty high quality. If I didn't already have 3 pairs of bibs, I'd definitely give these a try at $100.
  13. Frogg Toggs Pilot Pro Real Tree jacket and pants are $99.99 ea on their website.
  14. That's a lot of rigging...neat looking action though. Reminds me of a mosquito larvae.
  15. Is there an easy place to park and drop a kayak in here? Dragging my BigFish 105 down the trail to Mercer last spring made me never want to kayak fish again haha.
  16. Some of my best frog days in northern NY have happened late september thru much of october.
  17. My fishing days have been few and far between over the last few years but covid and telework has allowed for a little more time back home in upstate NY. I was able to get out 2 days early in the spring and beat up on the pre-spawn smallies. 50+ fish day with a 27-28lb 5 fish limit. Stayed a month up in NY over the summer and was able to fish 4 team tournaments with my dad. Ended up with a 1st, 2 2nds, and a 3rd. Overall, pretty good year, just wish I had more days on the water!
  18. I've lived in the same condo for almost 6 years before realizing that my utility room had pegboard on the inside wall! Not nearly enough space for everything, but it'll do until we buy a house.
  19. Kistler is running a good sale right now. 45% off when you buy 3 rods/reels. I know folks are critical of the price hikes on his rods this year (myself included) but this is a great deal. 3 KLX's for $495 puts them at $165 ea. You'd be hard pressed to find a better rod out there for that price.
  20. Senko. I used them a lot when I was a kid but now I can't throw one more than 3 or 4 casts before putting it down. It wears on me mentally.
  21. I have 18-20 rigs in my rotation and I use all of them (some more than others). I have my couple favorite techniques but I enjoy catching bass on all different types of baits. My problem is I want more but have a hard time justifying it. I tell myself that I'll only replace, not add. That obviously never works because I like 95% of my stuff and don't wanna get rid of it!
  22. I really wish this was a thing when I was in college. I went to Potsdam and had friends at Clarkson. Glad to see that club growing.
  23. I'd definitely try a swimjig on top the weeds if you're seeing bass actively chase the gills but my #1 would be a 3/4 - 1oz jig flipped in that deep grass. The bass will only feed on those suckers at certain times. They're most likely hunkered down in that grass most of the day. You'll need to "go get them."
  24. I have 2 Snipers (7'0 MH and 7'6 H) and a new Invoker Pro composite. The x-fast taper on the Sniper MH makes it fish much stiffer than I'd like. Works fine for light jigs up to 1/2oz. I wasn't a fan of how it handled light t-rigs. Overall, they're decent rods but nothing too special. I didn't pay full retail for any of mine and don't think I would.
  25. I know very little about them so I don't want to be discouraging but...I talked to a guy in my local club about his AVX1980 back in July and he said the hull cracked on him. He had to run his bilge pump all day during our events. Other than that, he loved it. He also said Vexus was building him a replacement which is good.
