Serious tournament fisherman
I usually have 4 or 5 jig rods on the deck if I'm fishing a tourney where largemouth dominate. Two different size jigs on two different lines and usually a swimjig.

Man, TW is making it dang difficult to save for the Costas next year!- St croix mojo bass vs. powell endurance
Never had issues with the Twing. I know the 1st gen of tatulas had an issue but that was fixed by Daiwa a long time ago. Couldnt tell you about leaders because I dont use them with my baitcasting outfits. I especially wouldnt use them for flipping. It's 100% not necessary. The line recommendation isnt a strength thing, it's a handling thing. Light braid just doesnt work well on casters. Yes, that's true. Youre still paying $55-$100 (plus shipping) for a replacement which is roughly equivalent to Powells replacement cost.- St croix mojo bass vs. powell endurance
I have to agree with @Joshua van Wyk. Not only is 25 to 30lb braid a little light for flipping, it won't handle that well on a baitcaster. I don't use anything under 40lb on a baitcaster. Tatula SVs are fantastic reels and can be had for under $160 on ebay. I've recently seen the new Tat 100 on there for $120. Can't go wrong with a Curado K as well. I am a little biased though as I'm currently only running one non-Shimano/Daiwa reel. I've never used any Duckett products and probably never will, so I can't help you there. It seems like you're liking the Mojo, so honestly, I'd say go for it. Either one will serve you well. If you wanna save a little $$, buy a TackleWarehouse gift card (10% off right now) then purchase the rod from them with it. It's not much but $14 bucks is $14 bucks!- St croix mojo bass vs. powell endurance
Accidental breakage is never covered under any warranties. Sometimes, some companies will hook you up with a freebie. Old Shimano and Quantum lifetime warranties were like that (in my experience). That's not really the case anymore as those companies got rid of those warranties. The 7'6 MH-MF Mojo would work just fine in that cover. The 7'4 would be fine too. I actually prefer the 7'4 H and think it's more versatile. As for brand preference...I'm definitely more of a Croix guy since I'm from the north. I don't really care for the Mojos though (aesthetic thing, not quality/function). The SCIII graphite blanks are plenty strong and sensitive. I can't really make a comparison to the Powell Endurance line though. I own/owned 4 Powell Maxs but they've all been crankin' rods so I can't comment on sensitivity, power, etc. I will say, I wouldn't hesitate at all to buy an Endurance.- High End Rods
Custom is nice but at $400, I like the piece of mind that comes with a warranty.- St croix mojo bass vs. powell endurance
Remember, warranties only cover defects in craftsmanship. I've only had a handful of defective rods (and I have/had a ton of rods). I always look for replacement programs because the VAST majority of my broken rods were caused by accidents not defects. If you accidentally break your Mojo, you'll have to pay $15 to ship it to them (if they still offer the $15 FedEx label) then $55 to replace it. Where St. Croix differs is they have the upgrade program, which I've used several times. As for your other question...how heavy of a weigh and what kind of cover will you be flipping? I have the 7'6 MH-MF Rage (which is equivalent to the Mojo) and I wouldn't flip heavier than a 3/4 oz weight with it. I liked it better as pitching stick/big worm rod (when I used it). My 7'11 H-MF Legend Xtreme is way better suited for 3/4 oz+ and flipping in heavy junk. I also have the 7'4 H-F Avid X. I've never tried flipping with it, though I think it would work. To me, it's better suited for its intended purpose as a frog rod, even though I use mine for football jigs in deep water, mostly. - The latest sale thread
