  1. Absolutely. One of my favorite bladed jig trailers.
  2. I'm actually not a huge fan of Huk. They have awesome designs, colors, styles, etc but the mesh backing pills almost instantly. To be fair, I only have 2 huk shirts but both did that after day 1. My UA isochills are awesome. I have 3 and they are all great. I'm on the verge of going back to the old school button down Columbia type shirts though.

I disagree. The art of walking a frog is super important if you wanna keep your bait in the same spot and still give it action. I can make a frog walk but keep it in the same spot for a long time. This is always key for me when fishing super shallow shade pockets or areas that aren't thick mats. I catch more bass in sparse to almost no cover most of the time.
  4. Nah, that's a replacement program.
  5. I've been using DT series cranks for a long time. The bills definitely wear out and break but they'll last a while if you're no bangin them off of stuff. They work well, catch a lot of fish, and are still among the most affordable cranks you can buy so I keep using them.
  6. I bought a spool of 12 last year. Not a fan. Didn't use it much. Frays way too easily for my liking. Others seem to like it though.
  7. It catches all size bass except for dinks, but also bluegill...That's cool. I'm just not into all the "finesse" techniques everyone goes gaga over. I know all those baits/techniques catch fish (and good size ones too), it's just not my jam. Yes, to quote others here "nobody is forcing me to fish it." It just seems like the entire industry is catering to this crowd which makes anglers like me feel left out On a lighter note, that new Plano Edge terminal box looks like a winner, so long as it's not $50 like the BM one.
  8. The bass will totally see that sinker....better use 4lb fluoro and a BFS casting setup.
  9. I just picked up a 7 ft medium heavy Ark Sniper on closeout from TackleWarehouse. They're $99. I used it yesterday and was pleasantly surprised with it's performance. Most of my other rods are the upper end offerings from St. Croix, Kistler, and Shimano but I would totally buy more of the Snipers.
  10. Academy online has some pretty great deals on rain gear today only. Frogg toggs pilot guide suit for $90. Thats a steal for a 3-layer suit!
  11. Under Armour's Coolswitch or Isochill shirts are really nice. They really do get a cool feeling when wet. Those have been the best for me. I have a couple Huk shirts but the mesh back pills so badly. Wore them once and they look like trash.
  12. That's a significant down payment on a nice boat right there, haha.
  13. Agreed. It also seems that a lot more brands are excluded.
  14. Give them a call. I bet they'll honor the discount.
  15. I was wondering why all the Mike Long topics were popping up on the site. That article is absolutely crazy. It blows my mind that he got away with that stuff for so long.
  16. I almost never try to just fill the livewell in a one day tournament. Most of the places I fish, you need at least 17lbs to cut a check so a limit of dinks is worthless. I go big from the start. Frog, bladed jig, and big jig all day.
  17. Eeeek that motor looks horrible. Interested to see what it's all about though.
  18. I would say no. I think the MH would be better suited for fishing t-rigs around grass.
  19. Everyone gets lucky now and again;)
  20. I have both the Curado and the Tatula (both models you listed). They're both fantastic. I will say that the tatula is definitely easier to dial in. It's pretty fool proof and quite difficult to backlash. The Curado is solid too. Both are smooth and tough. Can't go wrong with either.
  21. Because it's lame and catches dinks. Not my style.
  22. The majority of the fish will be shallow right now. The college kids are pulling those giant bags mostly off beds. Not a huge fan of that since the River is essentially my home water, but bass season is open, so fair game. You have the potential to catch the biggest smallie of your life right now there. I believe the 1000ft from shore no wake rule is still in effect due to the high water, so be wary of that. Good luck and have a blast!
  23. I wish ned would go away.
  24. As much as I like seeing our BR guys doing well, this event scares me. The smallies are in full spawn mode up there right now and I know for a fact the majority of those fish got pulled off beds. Normally I'm not too worried about that stuff, especially on the River and Ontario but sheesh...200 boats pulling those bass off beds in my neck of the woods is a little cringe-worthy.
