I'm never buying tackle on ebay again...
I have purchased many Shimano Reels off of E-Bay. In today's times the high end stuff is not selling quickly so a sellers cash is tied up. On the buy it now if I am willing to pay that price I'll contact the seller & tell them I'll buy the reel if he pays the shipping If he does I pay right then, If not he lost a sale. On the auction I figure the most I'll pay including the shipping & that is it. One other thing is I usually buy NIB items. I have yet to have a problem & always beat the retail price by a good bit.

Did you vote today?
Yes I did & it looks like there is some house cleaning going on.

What frog do you use?
Try a Boze Sumo Frog. They float low in the water like a real frog & they catch fish. The draw back is you need to squeeze the water out after a few cast. It's no big deal as it only takes a squeeze or two. Tackle Warehouse carries them.

Higher ratio baitcasting reels?
As has been said, they are very good to move a fish away from heavy cover. I use them for bottom fishing & frogs. Remember to check the IPT of the reel so you know how far the bait moves with each turn of the handle. In heavy grass I find it better to use a lower gear ratio with a buzz bait & toads a fish can hone in on it better. You will get more hook ups with a slightly lower IPT. Just remember there are other factors to consider what reel to choose for that application. Time on the water is the best way to figure it out. Experiment with different set ups.

Line Testing Results
I too have been looking at new lines. Several years back R/W turned me on to Yo-Zuri which is now my line of choice. I also do not use braid because it has no stretch. I do not use Trilene or Power Pro. I have used all 3 of the Seaguar lines. I thought the InvizX had to much stretch. The AbrazX is a good line but I totally agree with R/W on the Tatsu it is a great line & if I were still tournament fishing i would be using it on several of my rigs. I do not carry a spinning rig with me, in fact I can't remember the last time I used one. So I can't comment on how these lines work on spinning gear. I have 6 & 6 1/2 ft rods that are in the 8 to 15lb line class with Scorpion Mg's on them that work on the lighter baits for me. A very good post R/W

Wind is your friend
The wind is your friend, all the reasons above have stated why. I know it is tough to cast into it but with practice you will get better at it. If you can afford one a Shimano DC reel is very useful on windy day. You can catch some big stringers on windy days, I did last week 35lbs 4 oz. with a best 5 fish.

Year Old boats
I have owned Rangers since 1974 so I can't comment on the rest. I am now in a 2008 Z-21 with a Yamaha 250 hanging on the back. See show your ride pg.12. Ranger's customer service has always been top notch. Enough said.

Topwater-grass-not frog
Gambler 13" green pumpkin worm rigged with a weighted hook. When retrieved it looks like a snake coming thru the water. A good bait for Bass & small gators. ;D

pics of your reels
Nice reel Raul but the handle is on the wrong side.

Where's the women ????????????????????????
Hey Deb, Don't let things get to you. Glenn runs a tight ship & the bad ones will get a pink slip. Some of the members will sometime get a little forceful making there point & get caught up in the heat of things but all is good. I have a good buddy over in Pineville KY that bleeds blue also. He is forever calling me to tell me about those pussycats or what ever that team is called Good Luck on the tour this year.

Manns Auger Tail worms
I have caught a bunch of fish on them. I fished them Texas style. They are an excellent bait. For what ever reason I have got away from them but seeing this post reminded me that I have several bags of 100 somewhere that I need to dig out. I just have way to much stuff. The tail has a twist & is thin & moves with very little water movement.

Gps Antenna
If it's the puck style the top part twists off the base & then you can get to the screws.

Casio Cellphone
Thanks for the replies, I have not dropped a cell phone yet. I have got them wet from the rain while fishing though. Forgot I left it laying on the drivers seat & fished through the rain. It still works but I thought Why not be a little safer.

Casio Cellphone
Does anyone have a G Zone Rock by Casio? I am thinking about getting one because it's waterproof & can get the weather radar on it. I don't want all the stuff that they put on a phone now, just be able to talk, get the weather & waterproof. Thanks for any feedback.

What is the WORST BAIT?
Raul: you have squiggle your mouth to the left & squint with your right eye when you cast your buzz bait. That should do it.

Frogs with mono?
Like David said with this site so many people give poor advice because they've done something one way and it worked ONE time. Just because it worked one time doesn't mean its the best way to do it especially when it comes to your tackle. Wow you 2 must be experts & your way is the only way. I have been fishing many years, before there was mono. I have caught many of fish on a frog. The question was can you catch a fish in open water on a Frog using mono? Yes you can. As you can read people do it differently that does not mean that they are wrong or lose many fish, It means they do it differently. What this has done for the person asking the question is to give him/her idea's to try & come up with they like best.

Seaguar Tatsu Fluorocarbon
R/W a buddy of mine over in KY. has been using it for a couple of months. There is a tackle shop about 50 miles from him that carries it so he got a spool & sent me one. He has not used it enough to really decide yet. I have a Chronarch 101 D7 on the way & when it gets here I am going to spool it with the Tatsu. I can tell you this it is going to have to be awful good at that price for me to go for it. I'll let you know what we think.

How much oil do you use?
I have a bunch of hours on the trolling motor but not many on the engine. I tow to the area I want to fish that day & put in & start fishing. I will move with the engine from time to time & run back to the landing on it. So far this year I am on my 2nd. gallon.
