  1. Trick worm T rigged, Candy bug
  2. I had them warp a new plano box that was not waterproof.
  3. I guess one of my goals should be not getting strangled!
  4. Your rod is not ideal for worm fishing. It is better suited to treble hook lures, IMHO. You might do better with braid and a leader if you are currently using mono. Good luck and hang in there. Time on the water is the best teacher, but reading helps a lot. Lots of good info on this site.
  5. I have some cedar and hope to carve some. I hope mine look half that good.
  6. Fish every month. Up my fast fishing game.
  7. I like a tying station for tying while watching sports on TV. I also have a desk dedicated to it. I saw a "tv tray" with a station attached that I may try to duplicate.
  8. I love those. Kind of retro, but man, I bet they work! Love the red head one.
  9. I once had a boss who said, "the goal for you in this meeting is to still be here to be invited to the next meeting. I guess my first goal is to be here next New Years!
  10. All that you can do now is live well as he would wish for you. Remember his lessons and advice. Sorry for your loss.
  11. I am about your age and feel your pain. My Dad retired, immediately got sick, and stayed sick for 3 years until he died. There is a lot of data that many men literally die once they retire. I don't plan on fully retiring, but you never know what life will bring. Good luck. Pray for ***.
  12. Don't worry, I have proved that you can hang up and lose any style jig.
  13. Is the Ned primarily a SMB bait? I have seen some LMB on Ned Kehde's writings.
  14. Simply put, when sensitivity is important, as with worms, use a graphite. When you need some give, as in cranking, and other treble hook baits, use composite.
  15. Check the Lamiglass website. Great mH rod cheap! I also have enjoyed the Berkley lightening shocks. I have an Ugly stick I use for cranking sometimes. Maybe I am not too picky! I would also advise you look at St. Croix Mojo line of rods.
  16. I must be doing something wrong. I occasionally get a dink, but no real action on a Ned Rig. Maybe my water is too dirty. Maybe I fish it wrong. I so better with a finess texas rigged worm.
  17. Enjoy. I am starting to get addicted to jigs, myself. And worms, and spinner baits and....Merry Christmas
  18. Not to hijack this thread, but do you use a trailer with those?
  19. Similar situation for me. Caught a Lamiglass bass rod, 7'3"MH F on sale for $49! Upgrades my MH rod selection.
  20. Figure out your business model. Are you custom shape, color guy? Cheap guy? Special textures guy? Original design guy?what is your niche? For custom stuff, get paid in advance, enough to cover your cost.
  21. In reply to Sam's post, every time I yell "Geaux Tigers", I start catching Gar and Grinnel. This time of year I try to root for all SEC teams. Except Bama. $#/@ thosenguys.
