Wacky Rig Hook?
Owner Wacky Rig hook 2/0 all the way. I have also used the VMC Neko, but prefer the Owner. I use the 1/0 VMC Sureset Circle hooks for my kids. It makes fishing a senko so easy my 4 year old can do it.

POLARIZED EYES

Thumbs up to American Legacy... ordered on the 12th and had the DC in my hands today! Spooled up and ready to rock for a quick shore mission tomorrow morning! ?

I grabbed a Curado DC in 6.2, trying to stop myself from ordering one in 8.5. The fact that it's backordered helps! ?

Wacky rig and braid
I run braid with a fluoro leader. Too simple not to do it when straight braid might cost me a fish!

Kayakers Wear Your PFD
I'm a 100% pfd wearer when kayaking. I highly recommend the NRS Chinook; it's fantastic.
- Any reason to buy a Whopper Plopper 75 if you already have the WP 110 and 90?

ICAST 2018 rumors/new products
The 75 weighs more than the 90, so I'd expect it casts like a bullet comparatively

The stores by me have dots on the clearance stuff and the buy 5 get 5 clearly says that dot priced merchandise is excluded. Some of them don't care and honor it, others won't.

Yakers what kayak do you run?
Blasphemy, but I don't want a Hobie and it isn't a tandem

Yakers what kayak do you run?
Native Ultimate FX 15 Tandem Pros: Flexibility- easy to change between tandem and solo set up depending on if I'm taking a kid along or not. Stability- easy to stand and fish Capacity- I've fit me, my wife, and our 3 kids (2,5,8 @ the time) without issue. Built in gear tracks Comfortable seats (adjustible high/low) Built in anchor tracks on both sides Cons: No scuppers No built-in rod holders or real storage Wind will really blow you around My setup time once I've unloaded is about 15 minutes At full msrp ($2000), you're not far away from a peddle kayak I'd love to buy a peddle kayak too, but I want to be able to take my kids at times, so it'll be an additional kayak, not an upgrade. Also, I don't know which peddle yak I want. Looking at the Old Town Predator PDL, Jackson Coosa FD, and Native Slayer Propel models.

Black dog bait co lunker punker
Yeah, the 6" one measures 6.5 lol The 8" ones are more valuable, but the 6" ones having been going for around $75 or so. Check out Swimbait Underground if you want to learn more, but beware, it's easy to spend $$$$$$!

Looking for PFD Comfy Enough to Fish In
+1 I have the NRS Chinook and it's a fantastic PFD. I use it on my kayak, but wouldn't hesitate to use it on a boat. Austin Kayak and LL Bean both carry it and often have coupon codes or sales...

To be fair, they didn't put the $25 rebate on there because you need to buy a Pflueger reel at the same time to get it...

I've gotten several killers deals from Cabelas using the 20% off giftcards on top of regular sales... Currently the Shadow Rap Shads are $6.74 @ Cabelas. If I pay for one using a giftcard that I saved 20% on, my out of pocket cost is $5.39. Compare that to TW; $8.99...even with their best sale (20%), the lowest price is still $7.19. Another example; I got an AquaVu Revolution 5.0 Pro for $324 out of pocket before tax by combining a 10% off offer and my giftcards. That's a savings of 28%. Hard to beat the deals!

My local Cabela's had the Rapala Clackin' Raps for $1.88. I bit and picked up two, even though I never really bought into them before. The monkey got me!

I got the ones I ordered today and they seem great to me. Silky smooth retrieve in hand. I ordered 2x of the 30 and 35 so I could decide which size I wanted with them in front of me and I'm debating keeping 2x 30s and a 35. If I could snag a 25 for my 8 year old I would in a heartbeat.
