Powell Diesel Vs Academy Ethos
Looking for a cheaper rod. Going to use as a multi purpose rod. For the people who have tried both, which one do you like better? I can buy either one for $49. Thanks

Just Met Roland Martin!
I met Timmy Horton this summer. I was putting the boat in by myself and he told me to just release my boat without tying it up and he would give me a lift. He was already in waiting on his camera man to load up gear. I did and he gave me a lift to my boat. Very nice guy.

Help Simplify What Techniques For Which Rod
I actually like braid and a leader for some applications. I like throwing crankbaits with braid and a leader. A little unconventional for most people but I love the feel. As far as the rest goes I know I will fish floro for bottom baits just wasn't sure on the rest of my setups. I really appreciate all the input.

Help Simplify What Techniques For Which Rod
I want to simplify what I carry. Can some of y'all help with what technique each rod I have will work best for? I do not want to buy anything else so I want to simplify what I already have. I am gonna list my favorite 4 rods. I already have a cranking setup I like and 1 spinning outfit. The rest of these are baitcasting setups: 1 veritas 7'0" medium heavy 1 falcon bcc-7-17 heavy 7'0" 1 falcon bcc-5-17 med heavy 7'0" 1 st.croix mojo mbc70mf medium power fast 7'0" Any suggestions without buying new stuff?

Norman Deep Little N
Awesome. I have caught tons of fish on them in spring just never really tried much cranking when water got cold. I will give it a shot this week.

What kind of wobble does the Norman deep little n have? Tight or wide? Is this a good winter time crank? If not what are your favorite winter te cranks?

Pickwick Reports Please
I was up there the other day and caught quite a few in the horseshoe. Not for sure what this front done to them. The water was real low so be careful. I was catching them on rattle traps and hard jerkbaits.

Fish Color
The color did look like a tea color. The bottom of this creek looked muddy.
-
Fish Color
The water was not muddy but it had a weird stain look to it. Don't really know how to explain it.

Fish Color
I caught some largemouth bass in the very back of a huge creek arm. The water temp is just now down in the 68 range. The depth was about 2' and These fish were extremely on the white side. Almost like winter time fish. What does the color of fish tell you?

Any Reports From Pickwick?
Went Saturday out of Waterloo. Caught about 20 but nothing over 3 pounds. Lipless cranks and hard jerkbaits is what I caught them on. Schooling everywhere but they were difficult to catch. The baitfish they were chasing was about 2". It was a tough day.

Allstar Prm Uses
I have an old Allstar 7' medium PRM rod. What would this rod be best suited for? I have tried various techniques with it and if you catch a fish over 3 pounds this thing bends all the way to the handle. It looks like you have a 10 lber hooked.

Driving A Bass Boat In Rough Water
Thanks for all the replies. I ended up spearing a few that day and got my tackle all wet. Ended up just going real slow and the river bent and waves were no where near as bad. We made it back but ended up breaking the headlights off the boat. Lesson learned though. Thank God it was not any worse. Wish there were more information on this topic as well.

Driving A Bass Boat In Rough Water
The other day I was out and the water got rough in a real hurry. I was located about 15 miles from the ramp in the most wide open part of the lake. We had 5- 6 foot Swales. I know that is not big for a lot of waters, however for some reason it was very difficult to navigate. I tried driving all different ways and could not figure out the safest way. Had to go slow. What is the best way to attack rough water?
