  1. I don't have a computer just an iPhone. How do I post pics from my iPhone?
  2. Last week I had a rough week on the water. Fished deep and never really got on anything until late. Went back for redemption tho week and did the total opposite. Ended up having a great day. Finished 3rd place in my tourney and caught my personal best large mouth of 6lb 13 oz. won big fish of the tourney. Caught him in 6 inches of water. Water temp was 50. How do I post pictures?
  3. Going to use the technique just to show fish something they might not see too often. Seems like everybody is throwing a carolina, Texas, or a jig. Not going to abandon those rigs because I have confidence in all of them. Just looking for a different presentation
  4. I want to drop shot with a baitcaster and heavier tackle. I want to work this like a Carolina rig not like your typical drop shot. What would be the best type of hook? Should I tex pose the worm? What would be the best plastic to start with? Floater? Or ?
  5. Wht size line for jerk baits on a baitcaster?
  6. The repo man
  7. I have owned a set of costa 580's for quite some time now and I have never experienced that. I think it is a defect. I would contact the company where you got them.
  8. I have have tried Straight braid and I love the sensitivity. I just hated the way it fished during high winds and I hated how it felt on on the fall. I went to braid with Fluor and it still fished the same in high winds and it didn't feel right to me on the fall. I decided to go back to mono and it kept feeling like a rubber band to me. I didn't want to go straight fluorcarbon because of bad issues in past. I decided to just fish straight Fluor for a few weeks and give it a fair shot. After fishing with it and catching a few fish I love fluorcarbon. I went back to braid on 1 rod and I still just felt like I lost contact with the bait. Fast forward 6 months I have 10 setups and I have 8 of them with fluorcarbon.
  9. I have broke 2 veritas and 2 vendettas all within 1 month. The guy at the tackle store said he had a lot come back so I think it was a bad batch. He let me trade them in and I decided with the Falcon Bucco. It was the same price as the vendettas and they are so much better in my opinion. Have not fished with the ducket but it does feel good. If I had to purchase a rod tomorrow I would go back and get falcon bucco

I had a pair of Oakley flack jackets. I liked the way they fit and the lenses were great for some time. The peeling of the lens started to flake as well as the peeling on the frames. I carried them back from where I got th and pretty much said tough luck since I had them longer than 1 year. I purchased the costas brine with the 580 lenses and they is no comparison between them and oakleys. The costas are far superior in lense quality and frame quality. The only issue is the frames are stretched out a little bit. But that is my fault on the way I take them off my big head. I have had them for 3 years now. As far as the 400 lenses I have no idea.
  11. I tried to throw the dynamite today but it was raining so hard I could not get the fuse lit. Maybe next trip. I also tried to use a Seining net but the wind was too much.
  12. I purchased an Alabama rig before they became so popular. I live in the same area as Andy Poss who designed the rig so I had easy access. I have actually caught a ton of fish on the rig and I renamed the rig for myself as the Achilles rig. This thing is the only lure I found my self wanting to throw. I have caught fish on this thing even when the fish would not bite other lures. Today I went out to my favorite spot on Pickwick and the conditions were brutal. Started out throwing the rig and never had a bite. My partner in back of boat started catching bass on spinnerbait. I just marked it down as a fluke. I kept throwing the Achilles rig and my partner kept catching bass. I started watching him just to see what he was doing and he was hitting the same spots I just got through fishing. So I decided to switch to spinnerbait and within 10 minutes I catch a fish. I ended up losing the spinnerbait and didn't feel like retying. Picked up rattletrap and within no time a few more bass. So I just thought the fish was turning picked up the Achilles rig again and no bass. I finally ended up catching 1 stripe on the rig. I have heard people say that the a rig was going to be put an end to all other types of baits. From my personal experiences since I have owned one I feel like this is just another tool. Sorry for the long post. Just thought I would share since I have heard so many negative things about the rig.
  13. I fished with an older gentleman that had a cool way of storing his terminal tackle. He used old pill bottles to store his sinkers by size And hooks by size. He had the small pill bottles in a plane 3700.
  14. I purchased 2 last year for $25 each on sale. I have thrown them one year with no problems. 1 of them is a little noisy but it probably needs cleaning. Good real for the money. I have had cheap bass pro reels in the past that lasted about 6 months. So these are much better in my opinion.
  15. I went today out of Waterloo and caught 7. Two of them were on A rig, 2 on small spoon, 3 on rattle trap. I was catching them on drop offs at the mouth of creeks. I went to McFarland yesterday with some junk fish and that's about it.

How should a curly tail grub be rigged in relationship between hook point and tail?
  17. I had issues with the polamar breaking with my lighter Fluor but the "shaw Grigsby" has been good so far. Have heard a lot of people like the sam Diego.
  18. I have 3 speed spools and love them. Caught a ton of fish on them with quite a few large stripe and large catfish with no issues so far.
  19. I won a bottle of Krystal Vision from The Bass Professor and that stuff is awesome.
  20. I plan on fishing Thursday, Good Lord willing, out of McFarland Thursday. Any suggestions on what to focus on this time of year. This is my first year to fish in the winter. Will probably have an open seat as well. Thanks

I have thrown the Alabama rig in a tournament for 8 hours solid. It is more difficult than fishing a 1/2 oz jig but it is not that hard. I fished it on a old Allstar Caroline rigging rod with no problem. I fished the original for the entire tournament. I made my own version with the instructions from the tackle making section. It is about 1/2 oz heavier than the original. I used a bullet weight as the head. I have fished it only 1 outing and managed a 4 lb small mouth.
  22. Weather this past Saturday was 98 degrees with water temps in the high 80's. Tropical storm has moved in today and it is going to rain until wednesday. Highs are going to Benin the low 80's all week with lows in the 60's. I fished Saturday and the fishing was tough. A little bit of schooling action but the majority of fish were still in summer locations. I am gonna fish a new lake this next saturday on a lake I have no prior experience. What will this weather change do to the fishing? What are some tips to help make my trip successful?
