cleaning cork handles on rods?
Ok, maybe i'm not understanding this...But if you seal a cork handle it won't have the same cork feel anymore. I can only imagine it would be like holding plastic.

Mono
i only fish stren original. i like the stretch in mono better than other lines. I used to use ironsilk but kept having the line pop when i cast. I still don't like any fluoro because it springs off the reetl creating a mess. Braid is only good for flipping. I almost bought some of that new Trilene fluoro, but then realized that it is marketed as "smoothest casting fluoro". I wish that someone would create a fluoro that would say "casts as smooth as mono". that would sell.

venom worm glue
i've used the mend-it and it is great. But I did have a problem with it drying up pretty quickly. I think the acetone in it evaporates pretty quickly. I'm going to get some acetone to see if it thins it back out, but i havent gotten around to it yet.

Rapala Sub Walk and a Zoom Baby Brush Hog
i bought a couple of those sub walks when Dick's had them on sale a few weeks ago. I haven't had a chance to try them yet. I also picked up some of those new deep x-shad and deep x-raps.

Mend-it: have you tried it
i went to the trouble of taking some nail polish remover and pouring some straight on a worm and it didn't seem to melt it any. So i wonder if the acetone in nail poish remover has been diluted down. On the ingredients of the nail polish remover it says it contains water. So i'm guessing it cuts the acetone and makes it less effective on plastics. I would guess that straight acetone from the HD would probably work. Tpayne, let me know how the straight acetone works after you try.

DT Rapala's
in addition to just the DT, i also recommend replacing the normal hooks with sureset Hooks. I know many of the people on this board don't like them, but I have found that my hooksets have increased since switching. In addition the suresets work really great on the xraps.

DT Rapala's
the only time i've broken any of the lips was when i smaked them against bluff walls and really hard on the surface of the water.

Mend-it: have you tried it
I was actually ponder the idea of putting some nail polish remover in there to thin it out. I'm no chemist but isn't that the same stuff that is in the MendIt?

Whats your favorite Lucky Craft bait?

What's the strangest thing you've caught on the end of your line?
i was trout fishing in ARk with corn and a monster crawdad grabbed the hook and held on the whole ride. After that i proceeded to rip the meat out of the crawdad and use him as bait.

Mend-it: have you tried it
I purchased some of that Mend-it worm glue a few months ago after ready mattlures post and seeing some other info on the web about it. After getting the 1oz bottle for ~13 bucks i tried it and it really worked great. I've actually gone to the trouble of tearing baits up just to see how well this stuff worked. And the stuff worked just as advertised. Now a couple of months after trying this stuff i go out into the garage tonight to do some organization and notice i have some old plastics that "need fixin". So i grab the bottle of Mendit and proceed to fix these baits. But what i notice when i start to use the stuff is that it seems to have gotten thicker. when i got it, it was pretty watery. Now the stuff seems very gluey. This stuff smells like nail polish remover. So i wonder if maybe some of the fluid has evaporated. Just a theory. Has anyone else tried this stuff, and found the same problem?

Im torn. Swimbait help.
if i remember right, the 7'11" one has about 15 inches of handle vs the 12 on the 7'6 model. It makes it easier to tuck under your arm.

line for jerkbait fishing
i use a 6'6 M crankbait rod with 10 lb mono. I always thought you wanted a little stretch when fishing jerkbaits. I believe i remember a KVD video where he was showing a good technique to avoid wearing out your wrists. He was saying to use your hips rotating your upper body to move the bait as opposed to using your wrists all day. I guess this really deponds on how you are presenting the bait as well.

St. Croix deals still out there.
the sportman's warehouse has some in my area, but the prices aren't quite that good. they have a better selection of the legend than the avids.

Whats your worst part of bass fishing
how about the 1.5 hour drive to and from the lake?

Great lure.........for some.
I'm guessing everyone will think this is crazy... but mine is the senko. i think the problem is i fish to fast and would rather work through an area with cranks, traps and jerkbaits.
