  1. I have the 7' MH MOD MOJO and it's a great crankbait rod (and labeled that way)with a pretty soft tip. I also have the 6'6 MHF and its great for shore fishing around trees with plastics like beavers or finesse jigs. If you want to stay in the Mojo line get the 6'6 MHF, mine sees as much use as my Avid in the same size and action Yep, I said it.
  2. No, he means Rabbit Dog! I believe they were a mann's spinnerbait, similar to the Hank Parker's Classic. My fishin buddy swears by em'. I have one and hardly ever use it. He is out of them and going crazy. :-X IDK where to get em now, we used to get em at Wally World
  3. Indiana's Record LM bass was caught by a woman! 8-) Heck yeah! If it was my wife I would want everyone to know about it! If it was me, I would film a commercial just to let everybody in the US know! Then I would let everyone know it was caught on a Dancin' Eel! :-?
  4. I recently started using Sufix Fluoro and its awesome Before I had tried Trilene 100% and didnt like the memory. I use 15, but I've always liked lighter line than most guys. I think the lower visibility benefit outweighs the risk of breaking off every now and then. 15 is plenty for Indiana bassin! 8-)
  5. YEP! These are GREAT finesse jigs! I mostly pitch em around woody cover. I have also had success stroking these jigs. I use very aggressive hops, ripping the bait free from grass. Reaction strikes like crazy when the crawfish hatch! One of the only finesse jigs Ive found with a rattle keeper built in.
  6. I have the Mojo 7' MHM Crankbait rod. I love it for cranks! I wanted to use it for jerkbaits, but I fish from the bank mostly so a shorter rod is ideal. The best value rod for 100 I've purchased yet!
  7. Okuma has made big strides in the past couple of yrs. Give it a try.
  8. They were gettin' jiggy wit it! So use a jig! ;D
  9. My 1st worm fish came on a strawberry jelly worm! I still have the originals in all colors!
  10. I have bought reels on Ebay. Just look for a good seller rating and positive feedback from people who have bought SIMILAR items.
  11. I see why that's your favorite fish! It looks like a football! My favorite bass was not my biggest, but did show the most attitude. I caught the bass in my profile pic twice last year! The first time was right before spawn, the second time was late fall. There was an easy 2 lb difference! In springtime she hit a crank, in fall it was a frog. She had a big rip in her dorsal fin and a small amount of discoloration behind her gills. OH YEAH, she came from less than a foot of water both times! What a memorable fish!
  12. Spinning gear is an essential part of the finesse presentation! 8-) I use it any time I need to downsize or conditions dictate, like super clear water. It's also mighty fun to rassle a 5lb bass on 6lb line. Unweighted plastics, small swimming jigs, small cranks, small topwaters. Small is the key for my spinning game.
  13. I have both these. If you are proficient with the Citica then the Revo should be easy enough! I never have my brake set more than 1/4 of the way, and I adjust the spool tension for each new lure. Works like a charm! The Revo SX is my favorite, I became familiar with it faster than any of my others. Enjoy!
  14. My soft plastic bag is a large open mouth construction tool bag that weighs in at an astonishing 48 lbs! My other 2 hard plastic boxes total 54 lbs. That's bass only! I AM NOT ADDICTED 102 LBS OF TACKLE AND STILL BUYING MORE ALMOST EVERYDAY! ;D
  15. Norman Thin N is good! M ;)y favorites are Lucky Craft B.D.S. and Rapala DT3
  16. I bought 12# for use on a baitcaster with jerkbaits. I figured the visibility would be a bonus for strikes with slack in my line. YEAH, the visibility is good. THE MEMORY IS HORRIBLE! NO MORE TRILENE FOR THIS GUY! >
  17. I flipped a canoe at night and lost a Avid/Revo combo in about 8-10 feet of water. I went swimming in the dark and found my combo first dive. I suggest you do the same.
  18. Believing Bill Dance. Those stupid Dancin' Eels are worthless. I don't think you could even catch grass with them if you cast one out onto the lawn. LOL My friend in KY just sent me a cell pic of a 6-7 lb LMB his wife caught on a DANCIN" EEL :-?
  19. My line up: AVC70MF X2 BEST SOFT PLASTIC ROD EVER! AVC66MHF X2 VERY MULTI-PURPOSE AVC60M JERKBAITS, but I use ^ for larger jerkbaits AVS66MF AVS66MLF ;D I STILL NEED A FROG ROD! WARNING!!! THIS WILL NOT BE YOUR LAST AVID
  20. I lost two LC Pointers within 12 hours of each other and on different lakes! > I had been fishing LC's for better than a year without losing one! I guess it was time to pay my dues! ;D I just HAD to throw them while bank fishing.
  21. I've caught several cats on spinnerbaits, crankbaits, jigs, even jerkbaits! My biggest was pushing 10! Talk about fun, even if you feel a little let down after realizing you dont have a state record bass! 5 yrs ago my buddy and I were fishing topwater at night and he was using a smithwick devils horse when he caught a 15 lb channel cat! Pulled us around like a trolling motor for about 5 minutes in a 10' jon. Great fun! One for the record books, another buddy landed a 10lb blue cat on a UL with 4lb line and a crappie jig!
