for me i like braid on lipless 1/2 ounce to rip grass with, but if the water starts to clear up ,i like to use a 1/4 ounce with either floro. or mono . i think it is just my personal preference.

although i prefer to fish in stained water, my best results in clear water have came from small natural shad color crankbaits. bandit 1,2,300 size cranks, brand and wobble may vary . also small white spinnerbaits worked well for me. either with floro, mono. line .

that should be ok, Ive fished 3 grown men in a 12 footer before, just gotta be careful when casting, try to limit the moving around and stuff like that, but it will work if it has to.

how do you determine a bed , is a bass bed? this morning i went fishing and saw lots of beds, i didn't see any fish, of any kind on, or around them, how can you tell what species made the bed once you find one? or do all species just share beds? i have always thought bass liked to make their own bed every year, but i don't know the difference between them unless i see fish on them. i do know that a nile perch, or tilapia bed somewhat resembles a soup bowl , kind of like a small crater look. thanks.

wow , that sucks, i fish any time , went this morning 64water temp, sunny skies, mild wind. nothing but a few dinks on worms though..yesteday afternoon the same but found a few 2 pounders on a floating jerk , and crankbait on deeper grass , started out fishing beds ,but nothing on them that i could see, i dropped back deeper and found some roamers..

imo, rodman is a pretty unique place to fish ,be carefull of the submerged and floating timber
