  2. i use both, but i prefer baitcaster , i use the spinning more for finesse it helps me get a better cast with smaller lures line and terminal tackle.

  4. try to fish faster in clear water, sometimes it can help, for tilapia, Ive caught them with a bare #3 bass hook , i threw the hook to the bed, the fish would run off but come back a few minutes later, then pick the hook up with its mouth to move it off the bed, then set hook.
  5. went bed fishing today and found a spot that had 3 beds in a triangle .. 2 small males and 3 large females in the area caught the 2 males quickly on a lizard. they attacked it almost instantly , the females would just look and swim around, lizards,worms and senkos..i even tried to run a spinnerbait by them for reaction , but nothing..does anyone have any suggestions? thanks.

  8. maybe a Carolina rig .. or something t- rigged as well it would be less casting ,and something that could be drug around a little more..

  11. how do you get a scale pattern? i tried to use window screen but it makes squares..i need something round ,octogon like for a stincil.. thanks
  12. i used the ones with the long threads , so it would be up the body about 3/4 or more but not out the other side, i start the holes before i paint , then after, i dabbed some adhesive on the threads, then tighten them down all the way with pliers ..

  15. i have this problem ,when i switch from mono rod to braid rod ..i can feel the bottom better and i think im getting bit, i always set the hook anyways just in case.
  16. made it this weekend, really didn't cost much to make especially if you already got some stuff...dowel,spray paint,polyurethane for clear,loop screws for split rings ,hooks and line tie.haven't tried it yet ,but fun little project if nothing else. here is how it turned out
  17. i agree with those guys , but i use more 4s than any.
  18. i like teneroc to..Ive always used a boat their, lakes picnic and 5 are the only pits ive been in, some lakes are only bank fishing only i would go to those.. fl knifemaker might know more about teneroc i think he is from lakeland.
  19. did your dad catch any? idawild was decent, was that tarp looking thing still floating in the weeds, by the limestone ramp? i hooked into a nice one laying under the shade of that thing last week.
  20. so far this season in w.h. ive been to cannon,jesse,deer,buckey, so far deer has been the best on the east side pads and south east hydrilla 50 yards off going to idawild in the morning to fish.
