  5. plastic worms and lizards-junebug, flippin plastics-black and blue, flukes-smoke, topwater frogs -watermelon red flake, sinkos -watermelon red flake.....hardbaits black and silver or baby bass on topwater, jerks and cranks-black siver-blue chrome or crawfish colors-spinnerbaits-white and sometimes you just gotta experiment
  6. we have thursday night tournaments 6:00- 9:30 22$ per boat, no member fee .sponsored by the local bait shop, its cool because sometimes you dont have to limit out to be in the money 2 or 3 big-ns can put you up there in a 3 and a half hour tournament
  7. ive used 20 pound power pro on a casting reel and its not bad
  8. try a natural color crank bait ..model depends on depth to locate them.. then slow down with a c-rig or t- rig look for something you can make long cast with from the bank and try natral color baits if the water is clear hope this helps

  13. ive heard of some freshwater applications used to target saltwater spiecies, but does anyone know of any saltwater applications to use for bass.. thanks ... sorry b.r. staff if ended up in wrong thread..i will use this as example - saltwater application to use for bass- freshwater man plans on site fishing bass for the day, so he calls saltwater man ,and askes to borrow his flats boat with a polling platform ..that was designed for targeting tailing redfish ..this way he can be as silent as possible and see out a greater distance when site fishing these bass ..this is just a example or refrerance of what im asking ..
  14. 5 pounds..the big one always gets away
  15. thanks for the input
  16. i agree mabey i should have made a poll.. if someone knows how to add a poll ..please add poll
  17. advantages -learn new water, teckniqes, meet new people disadvantages- you cant fish the way you want- do the thing you normally do-fish behind a bass vacume cleaner-dont have much off a chance of winning if compeating with boaters- i used to be a co angler , yes i did learn some things- but i suggest buying a small boat and fishing in open tournaments on small body of water ..you can teach yourself more so ..
  18. i know thy both have a place and time , but i catch more on a lipless at least 3:1 catch ratio but im not a spinnerbait expert , alot of people swear by the spinnerbait , but i produce more with a lipless crank
  19. i think its just for markiting, most other companies have made their own version of the color..because it sells good..
  20. what works best for you.. i prefer a lipless crank over a spinnerbait
  21. does any one here make brushpiles in their home town lake or anywhere else during off season and fish them in tounaments..x-mas trees porkypines ect. ... thanks
