  1. I have 2 of the original rods. I'm interested in the newer rods but haven't seen many reviews to know if they are worth the extra money. I think the newest ones have microwave guides
  2. I wear goretex hiking boots. Comfortable to wear all day and keep my feet dry
  3. Does anyone know the brand of this carpet? I'm looking to replace the carpet in my jon boat and this sounds like a good option. I'm too far from a bass pro to go look at a boat so I'd like to find out the brand and order a sample.
  4. I assume those are Canadian prices. I thought the avid x was 200 and the new loomis was 180
  5. I don't really understand the difference between the 30 day guarantee and the 1 year warrantee. What's covered in the first 30 days that isn't covered in the first year?
  6. Keep an eye on their site. They've been marked down for about a year now, they have limited stock though each time they are back in.
  7. I'm pretty excited to check out these rods. All of the reviews from folks that were able to test them say they outperform their price.
  8. Academy has the h2o express crankbait rod for $59, if you wait until their rod riot I think you can get it for $39. It's a great rod for the price.
  9. That's the combo I use for jigs that size. I have 12lb tatsu on the reel. I'm not sure how many yards but its enough.
  10. I bought a wrist strap to use with the kill switch. I found that to be eaiser than hooking to my life jacket. I never ran the outboard motor without the kill switch on my wrist
  11. I just bought a new boat with threaded bases for both pedestal seats. I already have seats which have non-threaded pedestals. Does anyone know of any adapters that would allow me to use the non-threaded pedestals in the threaded bases or do I need to buy new bases?
  12. Any of you recommending the IMX fished the new models? I haven't seen a lot of reviews on these since they've been out.
  13. I think if you are limited to 20hp, I'd look for a tiller model boat. On the small bass boats I think you'll find the console gets in the way more than if helps. You won't be going fast enough to need to be behind the console. I had a tracker 175 and the console limited rod storage on the front deck.
  14. I don't know the model. I think it's called the terminal tackle organizer.
  15. Plano makes a terminal tackle box. It's between a 3600 and 3700 size. It has compartments for different size hooks and weights
  16. I picked up two avids at dicks one year for 75 each on clearance. They we marked down to 99 with 25% clearance items.
  17. I had a 200e5 and a 200e7. Bought a 50e and now own two core 50s and a scorpion. Beware if you purchase one. It may get expensive
  18. I would plan to get a powerful trolling motor up front and stern mounted as well since it's electric only. I'm just trying to decide in the v hull is good choice, or if I should keep looking for a mod v or a flat bottomed boat
  19. I'm looking to see if anyone has experience with a tracker V17. I've found a 1991 for sale, but was curious how this boat compares to the newer pro team boats. I previously had a 2004 PT175. I'm looking to get this boat to convert to electric only to use in my lake. My concern is how deep the boat will sit in the water vs. the mod v hull. Since it's electric only I'm not concerned with speed, or how it handles big water. My primary concern is stability while fishing, and if there is reasonable room for 2 people. Any comments from someone with experience with boat will be appreciated.
  20. That's why I need to make decision soon. Sounds like the the mlxf will be my best bet
  21. I currently have a 68mxf ltb spinning rod which I use for shakey heads and senkos. I want to pick up another rod to use for shakey heads and drop shot. I'd like to have 2 rods which can be used for a combination of those 3. I've been looking at the ltb 610mlxf, 610mxf and 70mf. Anyone that's used these rods have any reccomendations they can provide?
  22. Academy has the humminbird 598 for $499. Great deal on a good unit right now.
  23. I have an avid 7 crankbait rod that slipped out of my hands on a cast. It was floating a few feet from the boat.
