  1. When my teamates don't hit the weight room for football, then talk of how good they are and how next year they're going to get all conference.
  2. I had one reel done, haven't got it back yet but I was pleasantly surprised with how fast he got it done.
  3. Thanks for the great tips!
  4. I want to start fishing the shakeyhead more this spring. Could you guys give me some tips on how to fish it? Wich brand is your favorite?
  5. Berkley Shock Lightning Rod (49.99-54.00). Great all around rod! Or a Shimano Voltaeus.
  6. My wal-mart has Pflueger President reels for 59.99. Made me pretty excited!
  7. Ya I have a 30 model too, and I love it. I've definatley consideredd getting a second one.
  8. I've been looking for a good lighter spinning reel to replace one of my older ones for quite a while now. I've narrowed my search to the Pinnacle Producer XT or the Abu Garcia Orra S. I'm going to be putting 8lb mono on it and will be fishing mainly shakeyheads, small jigs, plastics, and some spinnerbaits. I'm just curious to see if any of you guys have had any of these reels, and could give me a review or even tell me which one you think would be better for what I will be fishing with it. Thanks,
  9. Spinnerbaits have always produced for me in the spring when there is some flooded grass, and bushes.
  10. Ya I've heard Stren Flourocast left alot to be desired.
  11. You should look at a Shimano Volteus, for a rod. They're not that expensive (40.00 I think). I have one and I think they're great rods! Very strong, and sensitive.
  12. Is that because there was so much weight on the line or because it was braid?
  13. Hopefully with Mike they'll be able to repeat the 2000 season!
  14. Berkley Chigger craw, and the Crazy Leg Chigger craw produced alot of big bass last year for me. I T-rigged them mainly.
  15. Have any of you guys tied this setup? I'm think of putting 40lb Fireline Braid, on this reel for fishing heavy cover. Is this reel good for braid? I don't want to ruin the reel so I'm making sure it'll work before I try it. Thanks,
  16. Well for me it depends on if there is cover or not. If there is then I'm going to keep fishing the same area longer, maybe move a little. If it's more open water im gonna move.. Also I have to beat the bank so I want to fish more, walk less.
  17. AWW I miss AD!! Good think Landry is coming back though!
  18. Can't help, but be on the Bandwagon!
  19. When they say Right or Left handed retrive is it meaning the hand you reel with, or the hand you hold the rod with? Because I want to buy another Baitcaster reel off of TW, and I don't want to get a reel where I have to reel with the opposite hand that I'm used to. Thanks,
  20. Spinning- Shimano Sustain 2500 fb Casting- Abu Garcia Silver Max
  21. Well I've only fished with it three times, over this last summer. That's when I noticed something wrong about it. I had a nice fish on with the drag really low, and still the fish couldn't pull any line out. Maybe I just got a deffective reel?
  22. I have a Diawa Procast Tournament 1006bi casting reel, and the drag on this thing is extremely I guess heavy? Like I pretty much have to pull with all my force just to get some line out. Is this normal for baitcasters? I'm using 12lb flouro with a 7 foot MH rod so maybe it doesn't matter? But I'm gonna be flipping jigs into cover, and some cranking with this reel so I don't want to put a lot of stress on the rod and maybe break it. I looked on BPS and it says this reel has 8.8 lbs of drag power, what exactly does that mean? Just kinda concerns me that it takes pretty much all my pulling just to gt any line out when I put the drag at pretty much the loocest it can go. Thanks in advance,
