  1. I've been hearing alot about thermocline. What is it? Is it the change in water temperature?
  2. WTG sounds like a great day!
  3. Ya he's told me to just throw the small ones on the bank but I just don't what to waste the fish!
  4. Well the good part is I took one of my buddies out to my favorite pond, and we caught about 20 fish between us (biggest one over five pounds)! It was alot of fun. I hooked him up with a nose rigged zoom superfluke, and he caught alot of Bass.He caught the biggest one of the day. I was fishing with a t-rigged 10 in. Berkley powerworm, and caught quite a few too! The bad part is other than the five pounder all the bass we caught had a really sucked in stomach! they were freakishly skinny! This is the first year I have ever seen the bass like this. Usually they're nice and plump. I think it's because last year the owner stocked about 50 white, and black crappie in the pond. The crappie look fine and are great eating size, but the bass are suffereing. Should I start taking out the small crappie, and bass? the bluegill population seems fine. There are some huge ones in the pond! Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Here's a pic of two of the bass I caught. All of the bass looked like this.
  5. Could you should catch as many bass as you can and then transport them to another pond?
  6. I'm 15 and I have a freind who knew I love bass fishing but never told me he loved fishing too! We fish alot together now.
  7. Welcome to the best forum on earth!
  8. 1. Zoom Baby Brush hogs (saved me from being skunked many times) 2. Berkley Chigger Craw 3. Spinnerbait/lipless crankbait (tie)
  9. I tried it today, but I didn't catch anything. I think that may be the fact that I was fishing 95 degree heat, hehe
  10. I was thinking hooking a Zoom Superfluke through the nose with a Cirlce 1/0 hook. Have any of you guys tried this? I think it would mebbe give the fluke alittle more action!
  11. Well I think Ihave BFA!
  12. I have not learned near enough to say versatility is a downfall!
  13. Texas rigging is a great way to start off with the worm. Hop it along the bottom ,and be sure to watch your line. Sometimes the Bass will inhale it and u won't feel a thing.
  14. Southern MO, around Lake of the Ozarks, and Truman.
  15. I'm thankful that my dad was a good fisherman! He would take me out when I was like five and fish for anything with worms. He's more of a trout/fly rod fisherman so I taught myself how to Bass fish. We're always getting into arguements about which is better, Trout or Bass.
  16. I'm having the same problems with one of the ponds I fish. Try fishing new lures that mebbe the fish haven't seen. And senkos usually do the trick pretty well, for me anyways.
  17. I usually bring one tacklebox (has plastics, and hardbaits in it), and four rods. I mainly end up actualy using two of them though.
  18. WTG! That's a great story!
  19. A great stress releiver. When I'm fishng I don't think about school, or people at all, just me and the fish.
  20. I love fishing shallow, and around weedy cover.
  21. Last week we had temperatures up in the 90's, and the fishing was pretty good. But then over the weekend we had some extremely cold weather like in the 50's. And now this week is going to be nice again. How will the bass react? I know they were spawning last week but will the cold weather throw them off? What lures should I use? Thanks.
