  1. Sure I will contribute what I like Buzzfrog Swimjig Tube Drop Shot Spook
  2. I never looked at this because frankly I despise senkos. That is just me though. But man... Some of you guys are being D bags to him and your plenty old enough to know better. Would you get on some random teenagers crap you never meet and don't really know in real life like this? I doubt it and if so your a terrible individual I get it that nothing was earth shattering and totally blew your socks off but you don't have to be so negative. Some people just want to belittle everything on here and doesn't help anyone. Even the fact that he fishes some ponds. Soooo many people on here fish ponds and also lakes. They are not less of a fisherman when they decided to walk a bank that day then when they are out on the water. He has fished fora year and everyone start out fishing ponds. You have to get it in where you can plain and simple. For all you know the places he fishes could be hard as $h!t to catch fish. If over his time fishing senkos he decide he had something to contribute then let him and let it be. Just like Franco said there is so many people who read stuff on here but NEVER post anything and I am sure something in here hold value for some people an that's all that matters.
  3. I had 2 of them both sizes in a bag with some other stuff. I cleaned it off when i got home and the next day I put one in a bag and it happened again. I have been throwing a couple lures in a old plastics bag when bank fishing for years. As far as I know oly the minus 1's have that happen to them. I think I used WD 40 to get all that crap off. I think.... Alcohol or something similar would probably work also.
  4. You fish them anywhere you might want a wake bait or to dive down a foot or so. I use them over grass that is just below the surface. They are great cause you can throw a crank over grass that is just inches below the surface and be able to cover a area. They are awesome in places that get choked out in the summer.
  5. When ever I hear line twist I have to assume they are using spinning gear. I can't recall ever having twist on a casting reel no matter what lure I use or how it's rigged. I know I have had it from spooling a reel wrong and it is definetly a problem.
  6. A leader is a life saver when you get hung up and that is a big reason I use one. Also braid lasts for so long then I could change baits a million times and hardly eat up and braid since it was all leader. Although it can be nice to run straight braid with lures you can bend the hooks out. I tie a uni to uni and have no concerns about it being a weak point. Every time I need to pop a leader I get only braid back with no knot and I think it is the braid that breaks not the leader.
  7. What kind of knot are you tying and with what line? I have actually been using a lot or 4 and 6# line lately. Some people might not agree but I tie a sandiego jam knot with any size line. I havent caught any giants lately with such light line but had had numerous in the 3 close to 4# range fishing the ned rig or strikeking bitsy tubes with a super small flipping hook or tiny ewg. I will do 7 or 8 wraps with light line and its good to go. A few times this past week or so I have pulled to hard cinching the line down that it actually cuts into my finger cause its so thin.
  8. Braid is not bad for light cranks on spinning. I rarely use braid at all anymore though. It's pretty much CXX mostly for me or some other kind of copoly usually.
  9. You can use a weedless jig head. Or I have a way to make any exposed jig hook 100% weedless but that's confidential.
  10. CXX is the way to go. Spend the $10 and invest in a bottle of KVD L&L. It will make a world of difference. Memory is a lame complaint in my eyes about not liking a line. There's is nothing you can do about stretch or sensitivity but memory is a different story.
  11. Thats alright I am sure. The MH might be better for the jigs unless they are fairly light and I would probably throw the swimbaits on the M cause I like more give in a rod with those. It also might be a little tuff walking a frog with a 7'6" unless you pretty tall or high above the water.
  12. That is 2 different rods. You could thow a 8" hudd on the same rod as a 250 though. But that also is better as 2 rods with different actions. If I had to pick one it would be the faster action to drive home the jig hook on hudds and you can still hook fish on trebles. For reels I guess a slow ratio best for hudds like a 5:4 and for glides a you want a faster one like a 7:1.
  13. Getting a color that matches natural forage definetly won't hurt but they wil bite anything. I have plenty of hudd colors that resemble nothing and have caught fish. They actually make way more colors then you see but lots are limited runs. You can always look for a bass pattern and if they are out Ayu is a solid color. I have had a lot of Ayu and they work great.
  14. Yea I undershand I mean you could give it a shot an see what happens I guess. The baits don't have a head to them and they are a solid body bait not really designed to have a hook come up through it. Not to mention they are V shaped and come to a point on the bottom.
  15. P-Line makes so nice line. I am guessing you are talking about CX as I think that is a copoly I think. Copoly is great line and there are a few brands that are highly recommended and are the best overall lines you can get.
  16. I don't know that you can use a EWG worm hook. Big hammers are trailer style swimbaits. They and meant to be fished on a jig head and big hammer also makes those that are designed for the different sizes. I fish them on heads but mostly use them as trailers for swimjigs chatter baits ect.
  17. Maybe try a casting reel
  18. They sell mushroomhead jigs with a crappy wire guard at Walmart. I bought a pack of1/4 and 1/16 there. They also had one made by arkie that came with a bait on it already. I used the 1/16 heads and ripped the curly tail off a zman worm and it caught tons of fish.

I would take them off but those hooks are super sharp and somehow always find a way to stick you. What would help my hook up ratio would be if they were ever fished. Once I get them back they will eventually see some water.

The doctor is a reference to Butch. These have been just sitting unused for a long time because I am lazy and didn't care to get them tuned. Since it is a new year and they don't make the OG's and more it's time to get it done.

I had to round up a couple baits so the doctor could take a look at them for me. He really is the best doctor and my co pay is super cheap. All it costs is beer money! I throw in a little extra though for his troubles.
  22. You can use the Walmart kits as mentioned. They come with a buch of sizes and one will fit your rod I am sure. I used one before in a pinch but later removed it and put on a real tip. They kit had terrible eyes and they were huge but they will work. For your rod I am sure it's fine and wouldn't worry much but on a higher end rod it was only temporary.
  23. It is maybe catching the knot on the spool. I always use tape because it's easier and there is no point for a knot. Also it happens when you hold the line tight and do it close to the level wind. It dosent let the line move back and forth freely enough and you need to try and follow it with your fingers. Or try and move the point on where you hold the line behind the first eye. Also try and slow down on how fast you put it on. You don't have to reel as fast as possible and be done in 30 seconds.
  24. Any jig to me is a swim jig. The only thing I don't use is a football head. One thing about a swim jig design is they tend to have a longer shank. One of my favorite ones is a grass jig with that had a very short shank. That sucks only being able to get the hook so far back but they work awesome.I have a ton of swim jigs and hardly use them and end up using grass jigs mostly. I have for sure caught the most fish on a $2 black and blue 1/4 oz arkie jig from Walmart with a swimbait trailer.

Any where from a 1/4 to 1/2 oz depending on the situation. I fish a lot of 1/4 since it is usually a lot of grass or fished shallow. It also depends on the trailer and what jig and some fish different. I almost always fish a paddle tail for s trailer.
