Construction Debris
?...Believe me, I wasn't going to post it, HaHa...and that's more like winter boredom more than outside the box. Thanks @Jig Man, hope all is well. It been a long time since we spoke? The last time I think you were working on a laminate craw, if memory serves?

It's not the length of the boat
I went back and forth between the Robalo and the the one I settled on and was literally a toss up. I got the Edgewater b/c I found a dealer willing to give me more boat for less money as well as a better trade in. Mine will be moored in the bay, so no worries there. I really liked the Robalo tho, what model you looking at?

Construction Debris
Some materials being thrown out: Copper ground wire from 12/2 cable, the hook is wrapped in copper wire from communications wire, the plastic spacer is from a fuel line, the oxidized bead is from an old saltwater lure. I bent the clevis from the leftover wire shaft. I wish I had the proper tools to bend the copper wire body but as rogue as it looks I just may fish it. ?

Shenandoah River (Egypt Bend)
Alright just this once: ”By the way. Did you make any decisions on going out fishing today? I know last night you were in the fence? Well if you do - I HOPE YOU STRIKE OUT!.” ? Good luck my friend

I would love to @Nitrofreak but as you well know I’ve had to make some adjustments. Best to save that for our other form of communication... ?

The Same Old Same Old
I went down the rabbit hole of trying different techniques but came full circle to what works for me. I don’t get a lot of time fishing these days, hoping to change that this year, but I’m out to relax and catch fish, not practicing casting. With what limited time I have I’d rather go tried and true and have fun doing it. BTW: My tackle box(es) are lighter too! ?

For some reason I thought of A Jay as soon as I saw this

What can I do, if anything, to fish the bottom of a mucky pond?
Drop shot and use a mojo sinker? Just throwing out an idea here.

First time Spinnerbait
Admittedly I breezed through a lot of the posts above. All of them gave you really good advice. The 2 things that resonated to me was blue86’s post about keeping the colors simple and scaleface’s presentation and lure weight. Well said. Spinnerbait are one of my personal fav’s but they also can be a slippery slope. Read the posts again and avoid paralysis by analysis. ?

Getting rid of some gear finally? ?...Is that step 1 of the 12 steps? ?

UL setup for perch
I really like the idea of a spinning reel on a fly rod! I love fly fishing don’t get me wrong but sometimes you just don’t have the room for a back cast on a fly rod. You really have me thinking bulldog1935. ?

What is this lake structure?
There are a few threads on that lake in the Northeast Forum if you want to get better advice.

Good luck, man

What is this lake structure?
Where the contours are tight like that it just shows the land dropping faster. The area that WRB I think is referring to is just under the yellow part where the word "TRAL" is. That is quite possibly the best location. and you can follow that to your 1st circle. The area I was referring to is a good area in my opin and can be productive in the center towards north and northwest. Try concentrating on those 2 areas.

Computer Problems
Cool man, I'm glad that works for you...although, I'm not sure why you want to argue with me? Not many peeps have external hard drives, all I'm offering up is an alternative. Didn't mean to step on your toes on this one. With that...I'm done here

Put the "who cares" files on the cloud and the personal files on a flash drive or external hard drive?

You really missing that phone dial up huh @jimmyjoe. "You got mail" ... ?

What is this lake structure?
Just commenting on the 4 locations you circled: Of the 4 the one in the middle where the contour is 40 is the only one that gives me any tingling sensations. That seems to drop from to 45 rather quickly. Would be great if there was some kind of structure or cover to it? The other 3? Not much there IMO unless it has any kind of structure.

Computer Problems
Windows 10 allows you to Reset the computer without losing personal data. If you're nervous about it you can save to the One Drive Cloud prior to resetting. I've done it on a couple of computers on my home computers without a hitch.

Computer Problems
They stopped supporting Windows 7 a little while ago. My work computer finally crapped out about a month ago. I've been running Windows 10 at home since it came out...I haven't really noticed a difference. On Windows 10 at work now. I'm not a big fan of Edge, made Google Chrome my default.

Not sure how you're doing in Michigan, but back at the mother land it's been in the 40's. I'm little concerned that our winter is going to get extended once again into spring delaying my start date to be on the water. Hopefully that doesn't happen to you.
