  1. Totally understand that it has happened in the past,@deaknh03, and it has been executed by a select few individuals in all 4 major pro sports leagues. The NBA is just flat selling out to these guys coming into the league and those who are already in the league. A lot of these games aren't even competitive. They're not worth watching during the regular season on TV much less family friendly to take your kid to view a game at the arena. I'd rather do something else with my money than to fund the guys playing in the NBA.
  2. More than likely not. I haven't read through this thread and I probably won't but the players are picking and choosing who they play for and now I read reports that kids coming out of college as high draft picks are picking and choosing which teams they work out for? Blows my mind.
  3. Fishing certainly is full of surprises @Attila...for sure, hundred%
  4. @BASS302, while you're flirting around with spinnerbaits, here's a mod to a spoon you'd probably like. I believe Daredevil did it years ago and I don't see them any more, but how about a Lil Cleo with a buzz blade? You'll love fishing this:
  5. That's a lot of water! Stay safe.
  6. Nice size Rock Bass @Attila!
  7. I can't understand the Tigers, their line-up looks really good, is it lack of arms? Bullpen? It's pretty bad when sports radio talks more about that than the Celtic trading the 1st overall pick.
  8. Yeah, they put Panda on the DL for "inner ear infection". Pretty bad when you had a switch hitter and they pinch hit for him the other night, not to mention they put in a catcher at 3rd for "defensive" purposes late in the game. What a wasted free agent. I think Price will turn it around, I really do. He'll have Tommy John over the off-season and Rick P needs to get his sinker down in the zone. I think by the All Star break, he'll get that worked out. @Jar11591, you're gonna love Coors field! I loved my 2 summer trips to Colorado!
  9. I loved watching the AAA line-up last night @A-Jay. It's funny, I was at Pawtucket on Sunday and when Sam Travis and Devan Marrero came up to bat, my son said: "I thought they play for Boston?" We've been going to Pawtucket for years on Fathers day and basically saw the majority of the roster down there at one point - Xander, Betts, JBJ, Bennintendi, Wright, E-Rod, I'm sure more that aren't coming to mind. Really fun to watch the "kids" develop into MLB'ers.
  10. Chris Sale is unbelievable, what a gem he twirled last night.
  11. That'll get you going! Good luck!
  12. A couple of my little leaguers helping in the concession stand:
  13. My thoughts exactly.
  14. Bank fishing or boat?
  15. That's probably the best way to describe jigs...so true!
  16. OMG, Kelly's Roast Beef! Now you have my mouth watering, @A-Jay! @A-Jay, you were probably listening to The Stompers back then?
  17. Thank you. I'm assuming you spent many a day on Revere Beach growing up? I bought that home in Kennebunkport back in 2001. In 2004 I had to pick the house up and roll it to the driveway so I can put a foundation under it. It was sitting on railroad ties that were rotting out quickly. The structure was a 2 car garage with an apartment on top. After many years of sweat equity it's transformed into a nice little home with 3 bedrooms on the 1st floor and an open floor living area on top with a view of the beach.
  18. My summer backyard
  19. Nice Northern @A-Jay, a beauty for sure.
  20. I guess you did catch a mess of them...WTG!
  21. I'm surprised you didn't get larger bass, Maine usually produces some nice ones.
  22. I agree. My son is 12 and loves baseball. I was able to coach him for 8 years. Every fathers day he asks to go to the Pawtucket Red Sox game - AAA Team of the Boston Red Sox - and of course I'll go see a game with him. It never fails, we'll get home and he'd want to play catch in the back yard. Playing catch with dad at a little league age is basically how I grew to have fond memories of my dad. Keep doing what your doing @Joshua Beaver, for a young man, you have your priorities set in the right place.
  23. They certainly look like largemouth?
