Yo-Zuri Knuckle Bait
That's awesome @Johnbt, where the heck did you find that?!?!. I look at the shape of that AC Sparkplug lure and I bet it would catch something...

Mayweather vs. McGregor Who ya got?
Exactly what it is. The fight will drag on for the "entertainment factor" but I doubt Mayweather gets hit very hard. I think this is Mayweather's way of going out as an undefeated 15-0 fighter, retiring on top of the boxing world.

Whats with this crazy rods colors ? Neon Green, Orange, White or Yellow ??
No offense taken......And I appreciate your comment and insight on the subject, but we know exactly the size and weight bat he needs prior to purchasing. His job is to pick the color he wants. I've been coaching since t-ball and have seen the same horror show you're referring to.

IDK, it seems to be more of a generational thing @Burke, I'm with you, I kinda like the muted colors myself. My son who doesn't fish much with me anymore, he's more into Little League Baseball now would go shopping with me for a baseball bat and would immediately gravitate towards the neon colored selections.

Quitting on bass if other species can readily be caught
Never caught a catfish, sounds like fun though.

Quitting on bass if other species can readily be caught
Here in the northeast, come cold water season, I don't mind tying on a spoon or inline spinner and let whatever species - Bass, Snot Rocket (Pickerel), You name the species of Trout - bang my lure. Just as long as the rod bends, I don't care.

Swimbaits and other lures for inshore stripers
That's the way I fish'em. There's something about swimming a hair jig for stripers that's tough to beat...And yeah, I wish I had some of Unc's Rind, but I ran out. An LJ Crippled Herring can't be beat as well. I've heard good things about the Clarkspoon that I'll be trying out next.

The Beer Is Brewing, The Trash Is Flying, and The Race For The Pennant Is On!
I usually don't watch the All Star game, but my 12 y/o son wanted to watch both the Home Run Derby and All Star Game. I will admit that this was the first ASG I've enjoyed watching in this millennium.

Other Species Latest Catch Pics Thread
I haven't caught a cutthroat since the late 90's out in Colorado and I can assure you they weren't that big. A beauty for sure @Dorado.

Yo-Zuri Knuckle Bait
Gotta admit, It's got my attention. Anything that includes a statement like: "This configuration produces an erratic wobbling action, much like a knuckleball thrown from the pitchers’ mound" in the description needs to be fished.

I was thinking the same thing @Burke.

Update for "Litter, there may be hope after all"
Well it at least sounds like its coming back? Hopefully they're a little more careful the next time.

Why do you suppose...
Then your mea culpa stinks because I found nothing but humor in your original post...Loved the 5 second rule part...

Why do you suppose...
Instinct I would think. Almost like they relate it to a shad kill in the cold water months. They see an easy opportunity. I'm digging here though, you do know that @scaleface?

'17 river carpin
Sweet, beauties for sure @MassBass...Congrats!

The Beer Is Brewing, The Trash Is Flying, and The Race For The Pennant Is On!
Well we're at the halfway point and it's been an interesting season so far. The surprises to me so far have been the: Rays - Never thought their pitching would hold up and they seem to always get that clutch hit Twins - Second place despite the fact they have a negative runs differential Astros - I knew they were talented, but 60 wins by the all star break...are you kidding me? BTW, check out their road record? Braves - Seriously, did you think they'd be around .500 by the all star break? I figured they'd be just ahead of Philly Brew Crew - Sorry, I didn't see this coming. Let's hope they can keep it up. It's always good to see new teams contending. Cubs - I knew there would be a World Series hang over, but I thought they'd still be over .500 by the break. Only 5.5 gms back, still time to turn it on. D-Backs and Rockies - By far the biggest surprise teams to me. Too bad they play in the same division as the Dodgers. Giants - What happened? So, who's teams are buying and selling?

Buzzbait wire
I like the offset bend in the wire. It gets the bait a little deeper in the water. Does it have more hook-ups than a non-bended one? I never took records indicating one way or the other, but for me, I prefer the offset bend.

BEST RATTLE TRAP???
The best Rattle Trap?...Well, wouldn't that be the Rattle Trap? If you asked for the best lipless crankbait, then look no futher than Rapala Rippin Rap.
