Megastrike Strikes Back
Good for your Bassin...I will have to say that my strikebacks came in the mail on Saturday the 12th, I wasn't able to get the 30% promotion for whatever reason, but these spinnerbaits are well worth it. I will be putting in an order for more when I get back from FLA next week.

The Road To The Super Bowl
All the Ravens have to do to lose is to start trash talking before they even make the trip to Foxboro...and from what I understand, one player already started that during the the Pats - Texans game on twitter...LOL In all honesty, these 2 teams have had some great games with the exception of the Ravens blowout a couple years back. I'm looking forward to some smash mouth football in this one. The playoffs as a whole has been really fun to watch this year for sure!

The Road To The Super Bowl
History isn't on the Ravens side, the Pats very rarely lose twice to an opponent in one year....It's gonna be a great game either way you look at it.

Finding A Rod Blank's Spine?
There have been many debates on here about building to the spine or to the staightest axis. I build to the spine. On 2 piece rods I make sure the upper section is spined and try and get the lower section as best as possible. If your bass rod is a fast or extra fast action rod, then the butt section probably won't torque on you, or at least you won't notice it as much as the upper section. On slower action rods, I make a concerted effort to get the lower section spined and aligned...MHO anyway.

The Road To The Super Bowl
My dad was a Boston Braves fan, as a matter of fact, when he got out of the marine's he worked as a groudskeeper for the Braves. Imagine how he felt when they left town...His favorite team was gone along with his job...LOL

The Road To The Super Bowl
Disappointment is watching your first baseman letting the ball roll thru his legs in '86...I lied, that wasn't disappointing, it was heart wrenching!

The Road To The Super Bowl
Hard to be disappointed when the Pats went to 5 SB's and won 3, the Celtics won a championship, the Sox won 2 and the Bruins won 1, all in the last 13 years...LOL

Guide Wraps - Color Preserve
This is actually a rebuild of an old rod that I love for topwater fishing. It was originally a maroon blank that really needed a new finish so now it's black. My daughter picked out the thread colors, so I gotta hand it to her, she did a nice job with her color selection. Here's one of the guide wraps unburnished and not epoxied in yet:

Guide Wraps - Color Preserve
Thread art is something I have to get into, it looks like it would be fun to do and really looks sweet on a rod. I split a grip on my crankstick, which is now a striper rod and had done a simple fish net design, but man, there's nothing like a good decorative wrap. Post up the inlay, Crookedneck, I would love to see it.
