  1. So far so good here in MA, rain and wind gusts to about 30-40 MPH. Real test is tonight.
  2. Zell Rowland signature Rebel Pop R. This lure caught my first bass as well.
  3. I was just outside Albany, NY the other day and stopped at a Hess station for gas. I don't smoke, but I noticed most major brand cigs were $9.49/pack excluding tax. If you smoke a pack a day, there would be $3,467 reasons I would quit smoking...LOL Good luck Bud!
  4. retiredbosn, I can't add to what has already been said, but I had/have my share of back (degenerative discs) issues and not to the extent of yours, so I'm speaking out of turn here and I appologize for that. All I can say is that I hope it all turns out well with you! All my best ny friend!
  5. You betcha, been a great jerbait season. Tubes have been producing as well. I've really gotten into to tubes the last couple of years since straying away from them about ten years ago...Man do they work!

There is no better investment than in your health!
  7. A beauty for sure, SirSnook!
  8. There was a thread a couple of weeks ago on this subject and if you're interested I can post the link on here. Anyway, I used it this year for the first time and really liked it. Like you said, it's really slick and not a lot of memory to it. I picked up a couple of spools a couple of weekd ago for the same price you paid, In my opinion you can't beat that for the price. I think you'll be satisfied with it.
  9. You don't, it's "recycled" you reel back up...LOL
  10. Happy Birthday SPEEDBEAD! Aw Man, to be 33 again...that was about 20 lbs ago...LOL
  11. Great statement amd great pic. Thanks for sharing.
  12. Yeah, like that dripping noise you hear in the backround is my @$$ bleeding for the Yankees!
  13. Nice Fish! Who said downsizing your offering doesn't produce BIG results! Great pics JF and congrats on your outing.
  14. Man I *** you! I didn't get to striper fish at all this summer, as a matter of fact, my freshwater bass fishing time was cut almost 75% this year due to work. I can't wait to get back up to K-Port, ME next year to striper fish. Good luck to you all this weekend and make sure you post your catch here so I can drool all over them!
  15. There is a posibility that the clevis has been compressed or widened. The clevis is the piece that holds the blade onto the wire arm, see the orange blade inline below and you can see the piece I'm talking about: Check that as well to see if it's been bent and hangs up, sometimes they do get bent out of shape at the factory or while fishing. Hope this helps ya.
  16. Man slonezp, that recovery is having serious affects on you...LOL...going stir crazy are we?
  17. I love catching Blues. I fish for them up in Maine using regular freshwater bass lures. I generally have the most success on trap type lures in a mackerel or fire tiger pattern. The faster the better it seems like. Congrats on your catch!
  18. Did the same thing with an inline spinner and 3" grub trailer...LOL...misery loves company!
  19. She'll have surgery next week @ Dana Faber Cancer Center in Boston followed by radiation treatments for 6 weeks, every day. She's been very upbeat about the whole thing which is good. retiredbosn, thank you so much for posting/caring.
  20. Some great posts here. My guess is that the bite will be slow given the fact that we just had a front roll thru. By Monday the bite should pick up. Get out those slow, crawling baits and look for whatever vegetation is left that is adjacent to deeper water and see if you can't get down in a channel. I seriously doubt they will be in shallow, but hey, it'll be worth a try maybe later in the day. Good luck guys!
