  1. I haven't had a bad toothache in a long time, but we used to crush like ibuprofen into a powder and place the powder right on the gum of the toothache. Tasted absolutely horrible, but it did help.
  2. Thanks clayton86, just added you to the list...Good luck!
  3. Those look awesome Bluebasser86! Hard to pick out a fav. Very nicely done!
  4. Sure backwater4, just added ya...good luck!
  5. Unfortunatley, plastic baits will be the next shoe to drop next to lead. Bass see them on the bottom like a dead sticked bait, pick them up, eat them and can't pass them out. JMO
  6. Well I made 2 up for now. One with crystal flash and crimped flashabou (my usual teaser tail) and the other with crystal flash and feathers. I do like the one with feathers tho. Changes the whole profile of the bait. I'm going to try one with marabou feathers. Problem I see using marabou is that it's kind of gentle and doesn't look like it would last long. The other is that it seems like it will retain water and kill the action of the lure. We'll see. Thank you all for your input.
  7. Yep, and the computer crash of 2000?
  8. I have not used the Booyah Vibraflex yet and I want to. I saw them in action and I liked what I saw. It looks like you can mangle them and they stay true. I lose maybe 1 or 2 spinnerbaits a year, but I have to constantly retune them. Those Vibraflex look awesome and low maintenance. Give em a try and let us know how you make out!
  9. Oh crap, I gotta mow the lawn tomorrow. Glad you're still alive OHIO.
  10. Sounds like you were on them though. It'll come to you. Check our PM's
  11. That was a gread video! I actually never knew Burt Jones attended there. Also, never knew how much tradition was in the program. Opened my eyes. Thanks for posting that Sam. BTW, thanks for producing Kevin Faulk!
  12. Wow, I expected 5 or 6 peeps to be in on this, but we have 19 so far! I personally hope this goes well this year. I'm sure there will be some bumps in the road, but It appears like we have a great group of guys here.
  13. tjc76, I must apologize for adding your name to our list before welcoming you. I thought I did? Maybe a senior moment? Glad you're able to join us...LOL SAHWEET! Good luck.
  14. No problem, Man. I maybe at Houghton's on Thursday after work. I'll show you some spots if you want to join me.
  15. Not really, he did ask if it was too soon. Gotta give some credit there. Plus one for delivery, minus 1 for timing?
  16. Wow, they must be pretty bad then...Sorry I couldn't help ya.
  17. Awesome TerryR. Just added you to the list. Good luck!
  18. Ahven, welcome to the site! If you hit Houghton's you'll probably get into some spawners. The recent weather we had did not help much this past week, but it may start to heat up in the next week or 2. Right now topwater has been really good. Just about anything you have will work. Mid-day I'll would throw some jigs or t-rigs. I was supposed to hit Norton last wek, but never made it. If you can get to some coves, I'm hearing that the fishing has been good. I'm not sure if I'll be around, but I will post here later in the week to let you know. Good luck and I hope to see you around the site!
  19. I watched the game last night and couldn't believe the amount of Cub fans at Fenway. The Cubs were well represented. Cubs Nation? Today both teams will be wearing their throwback uniforms from 1918 (I think that was the year they said). Be for I die I want to go to Wrigley to take in a game, preferably a Sox vs Cubs, but it doesn't matter to me.
  20. Awesome birdy, I'll add you to the group. If you have any questions on topwater, ask away. I believe you make 17 and I'm sure a lot of us will be sure to try and answer your question.
  21. Bar Keepers Friend. Works great. http://www.barkeepersfriend.com/ Oh, don't forget to take the hooks off before cleaning...
  22. Well only a little more than a week to go before the start of the tourney. This week I'll start a new thread where you can post your measurements, pics, calculated weights, lure and fish tale... There is still time left for anyone who wants to join. Good luck to you all!
  23. 2 rods, 1 for topwater and spinnerbait and 1 for jigs, tubes and t-rigs. My phone = watch and camera - calls get forwarded to my house, my wife and kids will text me A tackle box from the hardware store - 12" x 12" x 2" deep - which is supposed to be used for assorted screws and hardware and you can place plastic separator tabs/partitions anywhere you like to fit your tackle needs Pliers hanging from my front pocket Dish towel laced in my pant loop Wallet in my back pocket S**t tickets in my truck in case the visitor center is out Extra reel and line in my truck in case of "operator error" Waders are in my truck and on b4 I go fishing Extra underwear in truck in case S**t tickets are exhausted and I forgot to replenish from previous outing Additional lures in my truck to suit water conditions That pretty much sums it up.
  24. Thanks JF, I'm very appreciative.
  25. Not a bad way to spend the winter in my opinion. As far as copper being tied to hold a skirt? I'm not sure the jig will last that long to notice anything different. If it does show signs of discoloration then it'll look like old copper plumbing pipes in a house...
