  1. Jigfishn10 = man without a club.. ;D I didn't know you were into prop baits. My son asked me to make him one that he found in a BPS mag. I just finished it last weekend. The look on his face was priceless. I hope you and your family have a great hoilday season!
  2. You got some real nice pigs there Paul! What a seaon you had. Must have been really special catching those on a plug you made!
  3. Home Depot has poplar in the trim section. They have 3/4 & 5/4 stock. Nice fish Paul!
  4. ROFLMAO...So true
  5. Jig Man, have you used bismuth? This is our last year with lead jigs up here and I need an alternative.
  6. Easy guys. Please check his profile. His age will suprise you. basslover12345, time to leave this thread alone and don't worry about it. Just give it time and learn as much as you can
  7. If the Colts sneak in and wind up playing the Pats in the playoffs at some point, then my guess is Manning isn't going to lose twice to them. Same can be said about the Chargers. Saints vs Falcons in NFC Championship game, would be one heck of a game.
  8. Nice, you left us hangin..."I ain't gonna hit ya, I ain't gonna hit ya, the hell I ain't"
  9. In no particular order: Custom short arm single blade spinnerbait Spook Jr or Spit n Image (each pretty much got equal time) Homemade jig with either a chunk trailer or single tail grub
  10. Very nice FW. That craw pattern looks awesome as well as the foil job. I actually just finished my first foiled bait, I really like the technique.
  11. A lot of times, I get lead from a friend who has an automotive service station and he gives me wheel weights. They are made of lead, but they are an alloy. You really have to heat them up and make sure you spoon out the scum off the top. It's can be a pain, but he gives them to me for free and the extra work for free material works for me. Sometimes you'll hear that type of lead as being hard lead where as a pure lead would be termed as soft lead. I've also had good luck with lead flashing material you can get at like a Home Depot in the roofing section. If you have any old lead bullet weights or egg sinkers, you may as well use them up. The price of lead has gotten a little ridicules, so I've been resorting to these, especially when you go through a boatload of jigs like I tend to. JMHO
  12. You're gonna think this is weird, but every year we go to my parents beach house in Maine on the weekends. We would walk through the neighbor hoods to the store for coffee and muffins in the morning. A lot of people have tree faces made of wood which are nailed or screwed to the trees. My kids love seeing all the different tree faces during the walk. My son wanted to put one up on a tree at my parents house, but we could never find one at a store.
  13. Still the 1st quarter, but you can't complain about a football game in the the snow! THAT'S FOOTBALL!

  19. Very nice BIG M! We don't have shad up here, those would work perfect.
  20. Great as usual FW. With the line tie close the the lure body, I bet it has a nice little roll to it.
  21. What the heck are you talking about ??????????????????? The original topic was: "Every Popper has a story! What's yours??" before it was edited.
  22. I was fishing a Rebel Pop R one day with my buddy. After a cast my popper caught a gust of wind and produced a nasty birds nest in my reel. My lure was in the water just floating there while I was untangling the mess. I heard a fish splash in the water, but I never paid attention to it nor did I even look up. A second splash happens and my buddy asks if I have a fish on. Without looking up, I just said no, I'm trying to pull this birds nest apart. I just get the mess untangled and the splash again. I reel up all the slack only to find out I had a 4 lb smallie on. My buddy looks at me and say's "I told you, you bone head". ;D Wound up with lunker smallie that day in the tourney. ;D
  23. Oops...Sorry about that. :-[
