  1. Hang in there @king fisher, it will come back. Unfortunately it just takes time to adjust confidence to set in
  2. So to leave some low hanging fruit, a 45 lb kettlebell fits into a Little Mermaid (Ariel) back pack. Perfect for rucking I know, don’t judge
  3. I have a permanent retina separation issue in my left eye so it’s and eye sight issue more than dexterity. Surgeons loop on the braid and either uni or trilene know on the fluoro or mono Makes changing leaders waaay easier for me
  4. Can you send her my way? I hope she can help me break my addiction. I have Harvard Pilgrim, is she in network? My way is definitely drift fishing a light bucktail on a rig similar to a drop shot. If that means switching to a Texas Rig when I get in the veg then the rig is flexible enough to do so. I also like some type of horizontal presentation, a swimming bucktail with a jig strip or a spoon. In FLA many years ago, a Texas rigged swim senko was bomb AF and will employ that at any given moment. In the veg I’d run with that as well
  5. They are tools but if you take care of your tools they’ll take care of you. I don’t baby but I don’t worry either.
  6. To be real with you, probably a good thing. When you do start catching on them, it’s disease!
  7. I really don't know why they discontinued them. They were such a good lipless. SK Diamond Shad was too, but they didn't have the paint jobs they have today. EDIT This thread really didn't help my cabin fever ... .
  8. Well, you were smart to repair your issue. A simple $10 - 15 meter is your friend when it comes to vehicle or trailer electrical issues and saves a lot of headaches.
  9. You know that's funny, right after I posted I thought the same thing ... haha ... great minds! I'm not sure how these work, I'm in building construction - residential and commercial - and LED fixtures in buildings need a driver to make them work. A driver is what used to be the ballast in a fluorescent light fixture. I'm sure you remember when the fluorescent tube would flicker it meant that the ballast was crapping out. A bad driver gives no indication, it just goes. When LED fixtures first came out, bad drivers were always an issue. Your newly constructed 20,000 sf space always had like 5 light fixtures out when you turned on the lights for the first time ... LOL. I don't know what drives the LEDs on vehicle or trailer lights TBH
  10. I did ... really easy to do. The hardest pill to swallow was the fact that I couldn't buy just 1, I needed to buy them in pairs. Not because that's the way they work, just how mine were sold
  11. Not sure why you didn't know how to react? ... But Light Emitting Diodes are great and should last just like you said, but you do occasionally get a bad one ... I'm guessing that it was a manufacturing defect ... IDK, but just guessing
  12. HAHA .. Oh boy! I made the mistake of putting in 5 skylights at my parents house in Maine along the coast. Did you know that seagulls love to perch on them?
  13. My background is in buildings - all buildings. Do not ask me to repair anything that is powered with fossil fuel. So question regarding ethanol free gas; I know with older engines ethanol can create havoc but wouldn't the newer engines today be designed to accept ethanol?
  14. You would think. Mine lasted 2 seasons and expensive to replace
  15. Another producer is an old Bayou Boogie. In cold water they’re great
  16. I fish current a lot and drift fishing has become a way of life on the water. I use a rig very similar to a drop shot. Drop straight down and keep your presentation as near vertical as possible. Maintain bottom contact. You’ll need to play with weight based of how fast the wind is pushing you. You want your lure in the strike zone as long as possible and as vertical as possible. A little scope is fine but not out like a 45* scope. Once you scope out too much reel in and drop straight down again and repeat the process. You will find at times that you can cheat and cast the rig a little forward so that when you track bottom your vertical for a longer period of time. Your lure is not stationary, it actually swimming from the current/wind. You want to maintain bottom contact so either reel up or let line out to maintain. You will impart natural action to the lure while it’s swimming by doing so. Let the wind work for you and take a ride while fishing.
  17. Some nice looking bucktails @Jig Man ! Those things are getting expensive! But I’ll never trade them in for synthetic.
  18. Reminds me of a sugar shad @FloridaFishinFool
  19. Not OG Rat-L-Trap but a knock off from Janns Netcraft with the same shape. Man, does that thing catch. I’ve had it for quite a while and I know pumpkinseed is the color, almost positive it’s 1/2 oz. #4 mosquito (again, almost positive) hook on the belly and #6 rear. EDIT Mosquito hook is wrong, I don’t remember the brand. Sizes are right
  20. Can you send the C Notes and the flyer my way? 😁 Wait, never mind, my wife just informed me that we got the flyer today. You can just Zelle or Venmo the C Notes … 🤣
  21. What do you need? I’m making an order for bucktail jig supplies and can add to the order. I can send direct to you. Let me know JF10
  22. I know exactly what you’re saying. Time off the water last year meant helping mom and dad out last summer. My son - who still likes to fish with dad - was bummed but totally understands. As a matter of fact, dad was taken in ambulance to the hospital this morning at 2:30. I actually need to run back to the hospital. My daughter also needed my help on the weekends in the month of August. So we were able to sneak in a few fishing outings in September. You live near the coast, being on the ocean can be a bumpy ride once Labor Day comes around. But if I can’t help family when they need it then I can’t expect it when I get to my parents age. So I’m hoping to fish more this year. The passion is definitely there, that I know. Sorry for contributing to a thread that I probably shouldn’t have. Good day
  23. I honestly think you know the intent
  24. Great topic! I’m not the greatest person to comment about trailers but the few things I focus on are: registration - can’t tell you how many times I forget to put the registration in my jeep and sticker on the plate Wheel lube - I launch in saltwater so I’m really focused on maintaining wheel lube Working trailer lights. I made it a habit of checking them every time the trailer gets moved. Seems like they need the most attention Finally, make sure you put a lock in at the ball while traveling Can’t wait to hear what other members have to day
