  1. To be fair, it’s hard to be hard core if you work a full time job and have a young family. A lot of ppl hardly ever post a pic of a catch or any at all but are really dedicated anglers so they don’t get the notoriety.
  2. I won’t be fishing near that area. I guess the dam isn’t well maintained or well monitored
  3. I was talking to my BIL the other day, and he said that you can still launch at the restaurant and also said the same thing about the ramp on Juniper St that @Bass Junke mentioned above. I was looking at i-Boating map of the res which had a little more detail of the topography and it looked like that there are some deep holes by the dam. He said that it gets pretty dicey in that area so I won't be fishing there. I figured I throw a warning out to you. @Bass Junke, I'll be reaching out to you once we get some snow melt
  4. Thanks so much for your help ... More snow today but thankfully not a lot. Stay warm
  5. So another stupid question, do you let air out when storing in the warmer months?
  6. Does fluoro dry out like mono? I'm really not sure if it does. I remember losing lures on casts or hooksets bc I had dried out mono. This past season I was losing fish on hookset with fluoro leader - can't remember the brand. Very frustrating losing consecutive fish and then one right at the boat. I remember going back to the house after the outing and switched my son's and my leader out to a different brand.
  7. Yup, you win. I’m sure you’ll get confirmation soon…congrats bro @padlin, thank you! I look up the tire pressure.
  8. Snow Blower here in New England not sure how you refer to them. I personally don’t own one but I just used my father's - clearing him out from the Nor’easter that just came and went. He has a cub cadet - I’m almost positive - and one of the tires is low in air. Not sure if I need to pay attention to air pressure but wanted to ask before I added more. I know, dumb question but also not my piece of equipment. Thoughts?
  9. Oh wow, I know in the saltwater world a jigging spoon with an assist hook (pretty much a stinger) have been very popular for the past few years. Similar rigging except the treble or more likely a single hook is attached at the line tie with with a split ring or a small piece of line that's been treated with a piece of shrink tubing so it won't interfere with your main line. I have yet to try these, I'm usually vertical fishing saltwater with a dropper but it sounds like it's making its way to bass fishing. Thanks for the post, glad I stumbled on this.
  10. I fish both. I like walking the trails and jumping in holes along the way. Also love surf fishing at night in the summer
  11. Correct and 2018 EDIT: Steelers and Pirates pulled it off in 1979 as well
  12. Well, I guess we made it in the blizzard category. Not sure why the news ppl are excited about this ... I'm not feeling very special right now ...
  13. You as well Wind is howling here...I got the inverter ready in case we lose power. I'll at least have heat, hot water and a cold foods in the fridge
  14. I was in a bind last year and ran out of grease and the reel oil I left in my tackle bag 2 states away ... of course haha I ended up buying Ardent Saltwater Reel Care 3 pack. It had a cleaning solution, oil and grease. Man, was I impressed with that after I used it. I think it was like $12 for it.
  15. @scaleface, did you have to post that this morning?
  16. Oh wow, this is really serious. Sending good wishes your way @king fisher
  17. Getting ready to make my first clearing. @casts_by_fly we had that heavy water base snow come in Friday night. It was only a couple of inches but when you were done you felt like you moved a sand pile I’ll be out there at least 4 times today then up to my parent’s house to clear them out
  18. I’ll be on the wrong side of 60 come July and everything you mention and practice is the way I’ve been doing it as well @BigAngus752. Would love to chat more with you off line rather that hijack this thread. Sounds like we can trade ideas and navigate through this phase in our lives. Keep belling
  19. Congrats on the weight loss! @BigAngus752, kettlebell get ups are a great exercise. I do them as well. My all time favorite kettlebell move is a kettlebell deck squat. Take your functional fitness, cardio endurance and mobility to the next level! Good Luck DP on your journey
  20. You’re welcome. While you and your wife are making memories fishing it is almost time for me to take a hiatus to do the same with my son. Have a great season my friend.
  21. I will put @ATA In that company, He just fishes and fishes. ANY SPECIES You’re so spot on
  22. I’m going under the radar. He’s been doing it for years and his screen name is a name that was given to him by his customers when they used to say; “Here comes the @Jig Man. You may or may not know it but he is always fishing and for me, has always been a great friend on this site
  23. That would be great if it still the same
  24. For sure. This game was the same game the US women and Canada played. Canada in both games carried the play and both games went an extra period EDIT: Autocorrect is becoming the worst
