  1. Shimano Scorpion DC---St Croix Legend Xtreme 68Mxf Daiwa Fuego HL---St Croix Avid 69MLxf
  2. All good man. A brown thing scuttling on the bottom is pretty universal for sure. You dont have to be as finessey up here.
  3. There are no gobies in Champlain yet. Every picture or specimen has been a slimy sculpin. That being said they look enough alike that bait wise it'd be the same. However there aren't many sculpins around compared to Alewifes, Perch and craws up here. Coming up in May? Jerkbait, small swimbait, ned, crankbait will have you covered.
  4. Plano Edge 3600 Gamakatsu 3600 Bass Mafia 3600 Plano Anti Rust 3600 I use all of them for different baits. Mix it up for your needs.
  5. Like Trading in a Tundra for a Hyundai
  6. Amazon has a big sale on it now.
  7. Phenix Rock crawler weights. Lead, but so sensitive due to the shape. Just lift your rod tip and the snag will pop put.
  8. Brailist shines dragging 3/8 to 1/2oz footballs. It's a top 3 favorite rod for me.
  9. If you're not stuck having to shop BPS then a local shop that can get Daiwa can get the Kage LT for less than 200. Think of it as stunningly smooth Tatula LT with an extra bearing and cork knob. I prefer it over my Stradics and ci4s
  10. If you store them so the shorter side is down, the dividers that run from hinge to clamp (front to back) can flex and pop out in bigger water. That being said I use as a treble bait box when co angling.
  11. I live on Champlain and spend 15-20 days on St Lawrence a season. Champlain has more options as far as fun. St Lawrence is sort of a one trick pony, albeit a great trick. If you're not used to currents it can be frustrating. Champlain you more options. Smallies down the largest are there. Both down then a good guide will get you on the big Pike, Sheephead or even Musky. The variable that would push me towards Champlain is the off lake things to do. Burlington is pretty cool, great vineyards, worldclass beers (like some of the best around), great restaurants. I know A bunch of guides and a guy the owns cabins. Message me if you want to and I'll get you their info. (Guides that win BASS opens and ABA anglers of the year).
  12. In xx line, Brailist and Diablo Type R.
  13. I run 50lb power pro and just add the leader as needed based on clarity and bait.
  14. Mine is rigged with a Daiwa Catalina with 50lb braid to a 16lb Sunline Leader. Magdrafts, frogs, jigs, big wakes and flipping.
  15. My point being. Dicks, by buying from one company in huge amounts, sells: Stickers Tackle boxes Tackle bags Hardbaits Softballs Jigs Rods, Reels Rod socks Terminal Line At a greater margin than buying swimbaits from keitech allows.
  16. FYI Googan baits is owned by Favorite.
  17. I finished 11th in a Costa, Carolina Rigging bed fish, so shallow rigs work well. Use Phenix cylinder and rockcrawler weights, plastic beads and the 50lb Spro swivel. You'll rarely snag with these. Line... you'll get a billion responses claiming to be the best but you'll figure out what works best for you. But, heavy fluorocarbon to mono is a good starting point. Leaders 2-6 feet. Hooks... I like regular offset worm hooks, when a bass pins the bait on the bottom the hook will rollover less. Baits... OSP Beaver Zoom Speedcraw Old Rage Tail Shrimp Hags Tornado

  19. The Bfreeze model comes in floaters. I have a bunch of 65 sized ones.
  20. OSP Yamato is insane in both sizes
  21. Jackall Rerange is a great jb 110+1 Jr Slender pointer Pointer 100 Osp makes a good one too
  22. 1/8oz Kalins with a 3/8"-1/2" piece of Berkley General threaded up the shank.
  23. Lowrance Ghost Garmin or Lowrance forward sonar Used power poles
  24. Air-d is good. The 703 power Lamiglas rod that's $100 is nice as well. Name escapes me.
