I cant count the number of 3-5lb smallies that threw up 6-9" perch. Find Perch offshore and smallmouth will be nearby. Adjust baits accordingly.

Body is thick, Gammy and Eagle claw weighted hooks in 4/0 dont have wide enough gap. 5/0 owner flashy swimmer isn't much better. That's for the 120mm bait. For the 100mm it's harder because there's not a lot (any) super wide gap weighted hooks in 3/0. Damiki and megabass jigheads give a weird profile that picks up and holds weeds.

Just looking to see what everyone uses for heads/hooks for both sizes of these things. Struggling to find the magic set up.

Keitech and Dirty Jigs

Paid $180 for a '17 Scorpion DC. The US equivalent is the Curado DC with a bit dumber downed brake. Can't get a Curado DC for $180 in the US.

A larger handle on a small spool, high gear reel might only slow the reel down a bit. The longer the handle the bigger the circle you turn per revolution. I wouldn't imagine any sort of performance increase. If the knobs are nicer to you or something, then it might be worth it.

Elite ti2 9" It's basically the hds gen 3 with a plastic screen instead of glass. Wifi connection to other Ti2's is very nice if you get another down the road.

Daiwa spinmatic rod and a 1000 sized shimano. I have 2 of these and love them.

Get a Tatula HD for about $100 Or a Fuego CT. 1-4 oz baits dont really need a 300 reel.
