  1. So from what I read of their description the rod is made in USA but doesn't say where the components come from (ie American Blank?). Knowing the supply chain issues etc., I'd bet my life it's overseas components/blank built into a rod in the US.
  2. Some do, I wouldn't. The dragging over over rocks and the sinker sliding up and and down the line, will wear the braid and snap off a lot of rigs. I rig a lot, like a lot... and I run 20lb Abrazx or 22lb Sunline Structure Flouro main line to a 12 to 17lb mono leader. I break off only when I'm really negligent about knots.
  3. Kittery Trading Post 25% off $200 order. WILD25 code on today. Includes megabass!
  4. Probably light c rigs, small footballs, underspins, and I guess ikas and senkos. Its like a more moderate mhf St Croix without being too soft. Got the same sort of "west coast" action where a fast isn't super fast (Powell, Phenix, Lamiglas, Dobyns). MHR Daiwas are the bomb for moving single hook baits. Like "I guarantee you'll like it or I'll buy it", good.
  5. 4.83oz For reference a St Croix 75 mhxf Legend Tournament is 5.2 and about $100 more.
  6. Brailist showed today. Feels great in hand, paired with a Scorpion DC. Flex/action/power feels a lot like a MHR Daiwa or a 734.5 Dobyns.
  7. 1/4 oz jig plus a trailer is pretty close to 3/8oz total weight, I wouldn't worry.
  8. Brailist has been ordered
  9. Except for the guys that like to use moderate rods... I have an old Nutter built custom jerkbait rod made of glass with a counter weight wrapped around the top of the blank. My favorite jerkbait rod.
  10. Expect a billion opinions on this, all valid and work for the person suggesting. I'd start with your spinning rod and move to the moderate action rod next.
  11. 3-4'... Based on the answers 2-4'
  12. Dragging big carolina rigs on an 8ft spiral wrapped rod is a much more comfortable experience than traditionally wrapped. Just my take, but any rod used with high drag or heavy baits, a spiral wrap certainly doesn't hurt.
  13. inductor spring too "loose"?
  14. Your braid and sinker shape are hurting you. Go 20lb Flouro, go Phenix Rock crawler lead weights and you're going to see a massive improvement.
  15. My Edge box still allows sz 1 Mosquito Lights to jump containers. Ice box does as well.
  16. My go to Topwater/jerkbait line
  17. Don't bother with any topwater. Heavy ds weights Pay attention to what the dams down river are doing.
  18. I run my great uncle's Berkley Buccaneer glass rod 7wt with Heddon 320 reel. Its a 60-70 year old combo and works great.
  19. I like them a lot
  20. Hey there looks like I'll be in Sandusky Ohio early July and was wondering what the ticket is for that time of year? Post spawn I imagine? If you have any tips or advice to pass on I would appreciate it.
  21. LFT magic shad and the Hawg Farmer thing that looks like a Keitech without a tail.
  22. Tackle Supply Depot. (NE version of TW) Tackle Trap Discount Tackle out of Oregon has had same or better prices than tw and faster shipping since the virus thing hit.
  23. No issues yet with them on my budget rx-6 ned rig rod.
