  1. Lightning rod ! And yes you can do it for a period of time, but I dont recommend it as a permanent thing. Also when you cast use two hands with a firm grip because spinning rods dont have that safety trigger. I've actually gave my rod a bath once by doing this when I first started fishing
  2. That was a great episode of SD!! I remeber he had like a high pitched laugh, "HE HE HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH" lol
  3. Tom and Jerry used to be one of my favorites. And I remember when cartoons were violent. Looney Tunes was pure gold too! ;D
  4. When I was six, Cartoons used to actually be cartoons, not pre-teen drama shows like iCarly and all the other stupid bs shows now-a-days. I miss the angry beavers, rug-rats, Hey Arnold! and the good 'ole stuff :-/
  5. Im thinking about picking up some P-Line CXX 10# for my cranking duties. I think it would fit your scenario well also 8-) Edit: I've been using Sufix Siege 10# and have been nothing but happy with it, I just wanna try Copoly.
  6. Hey all, I need some help. Basically when I opened up the easy lube port on my Carbonlite (Fancy PQ) the grease, which once was white, is not a dirty off color and I think its time I regrease it. I've been using this reel heavily also. Also, I want to do this myself so I can do it many more times in my life. So my question is, how do I lube it properly? I've only just added a little oil and grease through the easy lube port. Now I want to take it apart for a thorough cleaning and relubing (Ardent Reel Butter and Oil). What goes on what? Im assuming oil for bearings etc and grease for gears? Also, if anybody has taken apart a PQ or CL, are there any springs that like to jump out that I should know about? Also I will be filming it just incase I forget how to out it back together. Also, I think some oil or grease has gotten into my drag because it feels noticeably weaker (Is that a normal symptom?), is there a sure fire way to get it off is there is any on it? Thanks for your help guys, Collin
  7. Ahh, so by "take her to get a massage and pedicure" you meant, she takes YOU to get a massage and pedicure. Does she pick out the color of your toenail polish too? ;D HA It's the thought that counts, not your limitations.
  8. I have a Bucoo, and the tip is a little soft. They're great spinnerbait rods though IMO 8-) Also the Mojo's IMO feel very tip heavy, even with a ~10 ounce PQ on it. I say try to get your hands on a Lamiglass. But if you can spend 150 on a rod, I highly recommend it. The performance jump from a 100 to a 150 rod is noticeable in my eyes. Also keep checking the flea markets you can almost always pick up an Avid for ~$100
  9. I 've always said it, it ain 't the wand it 's the magician, heck, I can fish with a Coke can spooled with 100 yards of line and whup some rear ends, not that I do it a lot but I 've done it. those cans have some amazing sensitivity! ;D Really? I've been looking to upgrade from my Diets to Coke... :
  10. God help our future... Am I allowed to talk like that to a senior member? I don't mind And I've never purchased or looked into tv's so I have no idea what is, and whats not under warranty, if there's a warranty at all.
  11. I think the Dolphins will have a good year, with about 8-9 wins
  12. You've sure been around the block a LOT for a 15 year old. Is there anything that you haven't done? Oh, and when you take your girl to get a pedicure/massage does she ride on the back of your bike or does your mommy drive you? She has a license Lemme guess. She's a filthy rich socialite and you're her boy toy : Kinda, minus the rich part and she actually loves me Been together 1 Year 2 months.
  13. Is it under warranty?

  15. Cowboys fan here. Im hoping Dallas can go all the way to play the super bowl with home field advantage, but they've looked confused on both sides of the ball and the starters haven't scored alot. I'd be happy with a divisional playoff win and an appearance in the NFC Championship, but who doesn't want there team to go all the way? I also think the Texas may be a sleeper pick, Matt Shaub is a beast.
  16. Right now i'm just using a cheap Plano bag that hold 4 3700's (Hard Tackle) and one of those drawstring bags for my FTO hook and sinker box with packs of plastic. Also has anyone seen that tackle bag at Gander Mountain that you can fit a small child in!? Overkill to me, but I bet there is someone out there who has it full.
  17. And Dobyns sure knows how to style a rod 8-)
  18. I also have learned SO much about bass fishing I never knew before from this site. Thanks to all the members for putting up with me also 8-)
  19. I am always amazed at the depth of your fishing experiences. With all the time you spend here on the 'net, when do you ever get to fish? ;D I fish every day during summer when schools out (weather pending), I get up early to go to Curtis Lake every day just before sunrise and fish until about noon or so with my dad. Starting tommorow it will be a different story though, darn school :-/

I hear ya. Not that smoking is good for you or anything, my old high school health teacher used to say "every cigarette you smoke takes an hour off of your life" Quiz time - what's wrong with this sentence ? Well, "every" isn't capitalized, you forgot a period, and it should be "one hour" not "an hour" Sorry couldn't resist!! I also just learned Chicken is super popular
  21. I agree that great gear doesn't equate to success, I've caught hundreds of good sized bass on an Ugly Stick combo from Walmart, but I would much rather have the best gear I can get.
  22. A massive slurpee from sheetz.... Massage and take her to get a pedicure/manicure. I find women really love those things, especially if your doing it with them ( I know, I know, heres my man card). But hey, if there happy, who cares!? 8-)... P.S. Dont forget the Slurpee You're not old enough to posses a man card. The required age as stated by the Man Union is 18 to become an apprentice man. At the ripe old age of 20 you can potentially be promoted to the rank of Man. Yeah.... Whatever you do, don't buy your girlfriend a fishing rod and say it's for her..... Yeah, what he said... Also, any metro behavior (Axe body spray, any grooming beyond shite, shower and shave, etc.) is punishable by a five year hold on man status. Okay, i'm definitely NOT metro. I shower daily, shave twice a month, only wear Old Spice, and I guess since I dont have an apprentice man card, I'll surrender my Teenage Male card. ;D P.S. When I mentioned doing it with them, I didn't mean go all the way like women do. I mean just sit with them and at most put your feet in the foot Jacuzzi.
  23. Delaware Valley Tackle. They're a sponsor here 8-)
  24. Which is best, all around? Whats your favorite for rods and reels. Fanboys, show us your true colors. 8-)
  25. All im saying is, His Curado 200E7 and his Falcon Cara Micro, compared to my BPS Carbonlite/ Falcon Bucoo in the same action, and power (And close enough to identical lures) His outcasted mine by ten yards, yes 30 ft. Take it or leave it, i'm just stating my experience.
