  1. I have found myself recently saying "fish on" and not knowing it. I believe I picked it up from Jeremy Wade of "Monster Fish" on TV.
  2. I personally dont like the scent of the new Powerbait. Its to catfishy too me, but the fish like it. I however like the smell of Luck E Strike worms, but the fish seem not to.
  3. Im in the market for a new tackle bag and boxes, and saw they Plano FTO elite bags. So my question is, did they merge/join to make these bags? Would these bags be better for FTO boxes? (I really like FTO Boxes ;D)
  4. Have you also ever noticed how much money we spend on a stupid green little fishy ? ;D
  5. I hope that's sarcasm, lol. We dont take to kindly to Vanish round these parts, LOL ;D
  6. That must be one big bass to eat an 8' bait 8-) jk lol
  7. At a local Dick's sporting goods.
  8. I've never used a Senko, so I dont have one :-? :-[ :-/
  9. Well, i ended up getting a 200 yd spool of 15# InvisX on sale for $12. Thanks for all the input guys!
  10. Due to it being a cheaper reel when they designed it they knew it would be cheaper, so all the parts have lower tolerances. So i think that because of the tolerances being off slightly, there is of course wobble and some grinding. But in your case i would say its grinding due to wobble. When you put tension on the line, it puts tension on the spool, and because of the low tolerances, its putting the spool SLIGHTLY crooked, so a small part of the spool is grinding on the spool shaft (sounds like metal spool shaft grinding on graphite spool) .. Theoretically causing the noise your hearing and that you provided in the videos. I have heard that noise before on one of ms crappy Shakespeares (The one that comes on the ugly stick spinning combo ) and that seemed to be the problem. You can probably wiggle the spool a little bit. To fix it, there was nothing i found that could fix it. I'd suggest buying a new reel if you can. Hope my blabber didn't confuse you!
  11. I've never used them, but everybody likes them i've never heard anything bad about em.
  12. Ive heard it mentioned before on here, and don't know what the technique is. Can one of you explain it to me?
  13. IMO the Falcon rods are the best for the price. I'd recommend a Lowrider at ~140 or the Bucoo at ~110
  14. If money is not an issue, get Sunline Shooter. Best fluorocarbon out there IMO.
  15. Learn the Uni knot its ridiculously simple.
  16. I actually put it in the tub last night as i was wondering why i wasnt catching fish with it and it hardly had any action. ( to me atleast ). And the fact you get so little of them. I also dont like there scent juice stuff. Its just like Gulp, which IMO is overpriced as well.
  17. Pro Qualifier Vs. Carbonlite The only difference is weight. The Carbonlite is some 6.7 ounces I believe, with the Pro Qualifier coming in at about 9.7... ( Note: I may be off a tenth of an ounce or so ) Basically the Carbonlite reduced weight by using a carbonfiber recurve handle, and a slightly more drilled spool, the internals are the same. And well the colors are different as well. Another difference is the models it comes in. The Carbonlite only comes in RH 6.4:1, while the PQ comes in LH/RH and alot of different gear ratios.
  18. Great reel no problems with it at all and have not had a backlash yet! ;D Well worth the money IMO. Definitely jump on it its so light and has great performance! You wont be disappointed ;D!
  19. Well guys, im starting to get into reading fishing books about Bass, what are your favorites? do they have good techniques to learn? What books do you own on bass ?
  20. SHIMANOS perform great, but they're styling isn't my cup of tea. (except for Cumuls, Cumara, and Crucial they get an A+)
  21. Mojo's are tip heavy, I've only heard bad things about the Vendetta spinning line, (but they're baitcasters are good).. And well i don't know anything about the Titanium line but my dad own several Gander rods and likes them.
  22. First it says plastics on your rod because its a popular model that people use for fishing them, Plastics. But everybody has a different preference when fishing. Personally for plastics i would have gotten a M/XF. And I found Mojo's to be very tip heavy while not being sensitive enough for me, my Falcon Bucoo blows it out of the water and have nothing but great things about the Cara T7. But as you mentioned the St.Croix upgrade thing, I would definitely go for the St.Croix Avid. Sensitivity difference between the Mojo And Avid is night and day. As for the slack in the line problem, i find that when fishing with braid, i tend to have more slack in my line. Maybe try a good fluorocarbon or mono. And while you may not be able to "feel the weightless plastic" just remember that while more sensitivity helps, every rod feels different. You may just be really used to the Shimano from Wally World, causing you to think the feel is not there, while it really is there, but you just havent figured the feel out yet if that makes sense.
  23. Wal-mart where im at has em for only 50 CENTS!! so i picked up a pack, needless to say i find that they are junk.
  24. I dont always use fishing rods, But when i do, I prefer Falcon Bucoos. ;D
