  1. the second weight takes the action away from the first worm. i dont think this would work. Actually, it doesnt take away any action, it just presents it with a different action, which is different than the status Quo action we are used to seeing in a T-Rig. ;D
  2. Well, i think its time for me to get a new rig, but i want spinnig this time. Lets just say this will not be my first spinning setup, because when i was about 7, i had an ugly stick combo. But I feel that in fact i need to add atleast 1 to my arsenal. I Know what type rod im looking for, A 6'8"-7'3" M/XF pole for throwing light plastics etc. But, i know nothing about reels for them. Could you guys give me some suggestions for reels and rods that fit my needs? In the price range of 200-250 Thanks, Collin
  3. I dedicated that knot for one day out at the water and i didnt have any knots come un-done, or break. Just make sure you tie and cinch it right! ;D
  4. I would get a 7' M/XF for light/unweighted plastics. By the way your link is not working.
  5. CX Is the equivalent of Trilene XL, Seagaur InvisX, etc, While CXX is their abrasion resistance brother like Trilene XT, Seagaur AbrazX etc. CX and other lines of the type will be more manageable, while you will sacrifice some manageability for abrasion resistance in the CXX.
  6. Because when walking the dog i get less fatigued and the rod tip is down, so i like my rod tip out of the water.
  7. All you need is a regular reel, nothing special For your rod, i suggest a 6'6" M/MF baitcasting. But idk if Vendettas or Compres come in that action.
  8. I like that idea! Maybe the second one be a floating worm? or a rapala! haha
  9. Actually i feild tested it today for about half hour and pulled up three fish, at about 2 to 3 lbs. It seemed that they always went for the first one, never the second. But i only have limited experience with it. Maybe its a thing in their head were if the see a creature chasing another creature, they want the creature being chased more? Maybe its instinctive? :-? By the way i was using two watermelon chart Zoom! worms
  10. So not as new as i suspected... I still feel proud of myself!(:
  11. Its a weed, its a fish, no. Its a DOUBLE TEXAS RIG! Today while organizing my tackle box as i do about every week out of boredom, i drifted off into a gaze about working TWO texas rigs at once. So i went to work. Lots of trial and error, but finally i have succeded! ;D note: If anyone else has thought of this before me, i didn't know, but if nobody has, I'm taking full credit!!!!. Step 1: Thread bullet weight onto main line. Step 2: Tie on your EWG worm hook with the Uni knot making sure to leave an extra long tag. Step 3: Thread second bullet weight onto the tag end of your uni knot. Step 4: Put your second EWG worm hook onto the tag of the line and tie with your knot of choice. Step 5: Go out and catch some HAWGS! ;D
  12. 10 ounce weight, 15' foot saltwater uglystick, Reaaly heavy line, And 1 Bass that has soaked in nuclear waste to grow massively. ;D 8-)
  13. There is two stren Fluorocarbons, the fluorocast is the equivalent of vanish; while %100 matches with Trilene %100 The lines are identical because theyre both made by Pure Fishing.
  14. I cant tell a difference in sensitivity but i prefer 1 pieces anyway. 2 pieces are easy to fit into a car also! ;D
  15. Ive never ordered from TW, do they always give free, matching color t-shirts? haha
  16. I have a few St.Croix Triumphs i have for guests to use and for walleye/pike. Pair it up with a PQ and you have a relatively inexpensive loaner pole!
  17. Definately be sure to give us a field report! ;D
  18. I agree with Smallmouth Bassin, you did good not to pick up junk gear like some other people. And i didnt mean to get a pole right now, just later on down the exciting bass fishing road.
  19. Bucoo. I own one and believe they are the better of the afore mentioned rods.
  20. Take a look also at the Falcon Lowriders. I LOVE them for the money and theyre very nicely balanced. They run about $130 too!
  21. good setup for all-around bass fishing, i think it would excel in baits 1/4-3/4 ounce, if you want to use heavier baits pick up a MH/F pole. Your pole should be a nice pole for t-rigs, wacky rigs, small sniper spinnerbaits, and some small jigs. If you do get another pole for heavier lures i recommend the Falcon BuCoo. Its only $109 but well worth it, I own one myself 8-)
