I wish I had one. That will probably be my next gun purchase (that or a 1911). I am still debating on which one to get, any recomendations? I am really liking the DPMS ones but don't know much about them. The one they have chambered in .308 is pretty cool, and I do need a deer rifle, .

I recently purchased a Taurus 24/7 Pro .40. This was my first handgun and as of now the only one I own. I really like it so far ( I have had it since Dec.) and have had no problems with it, I have shot roughly 300 rounds through it. The only complaint I have is that the trigger pull is kind of long. this is the only Taurus i have ever owned or shot though so I can't comment on any other models. I don't have my carry permit yet so I don't know about concealment of this gun but I don't think it would be too difficult.

Is it possible to change the gears in a Calcutta 100b? I have one I use on my worm rod, I think it is like 5.1:1. Is it possible to change this to 6.3:1 or so? Just throwing this out and wondering if this is possible? If it is possible what kind of money am i looking at?

Thanks for the reply. I did unscrew both of the screws but the plate didnt "spring" open. I can't get it to come off. Any more suggestions.

I am trying to adjust the VBS on my calcutta 100b but I cant get the sideplate off. The directions say I unscrew one of the screws (the bottom one) on the handle side and the plate will "spring open". It didn't spring open and I can't get it to open up. Any suggestions?

I had the Corvalus 300. It was the first bait caster I ever bought. It was a good reel for the short time that I had it, but I got turned on to the low profile reels and sold it. Just match it up with a good rod for what you are doing, I had mine on a MH ugly stick and couldn't cast anything under 1/2 oz worth a d**n. It was too big for my needs but if you like the feel I don't think you will be disappointed.

I am doing a project in one of my classes concerning voting, and I am conducting a survey. How many of you that are in college vote? Does your school have classes on election day? If you don't currently vote, would you if classes were dismissed on election day? Thanks for your help.

I bought an Accurist last summer. I spooled it up and played around the yard with it and returned it for a Daiwa Advantage (99.99) which was much better. I just didn't like the way the accurist felt.

can't really help you on the technical part of it but I had 2 memphis 12's in my maxima and I really liked them, not as much THUMP but good quality. I also had 2 bazooka 12's in my chevelle that sounded pretty good for what they cost, but they were in a custom sealed box.

You must be talking about th fluorocarbon line because the copoly isn't that high. I haven't used Gamma's fluoro line but I use their copoly a lot. It is the only thing I have on my bass rigs. The copoly is my favorite line that I have tried. Haven't tried their fluoro though, just because i don't care for fluoro period. Im sure you won't be dissipointed.

I recently bought a ruger 10/22 and I'm looking for a scope for it. Any recomendations? I have that exact rod with a Curado 100d on it. I love this combo, it is one of my favorite set ups. i don't think you would go wrong with a shimano reel of your choosing.

I also looked at pinnacle reels recently when searching for a reel for one of my spare rods. They seemed nice but I just didn't buy one because of a lack of information. In the range you are looking for I would recomend an Abu Garcia 4600 if you like round reels. I have two and love them almost as much as my Curado D's. Search ebay or the flea market here. I just bought an Abu 4600C4 off ebay for 42.00 shipped.

I am thinking of getting an MP3 player and was wondering if ya'll have any, and if so which ones? I am debating between an ipod and a zune but would consider any alternatives.

I only have two guns right now, a Remington 870 Express Super Magnum 12ga and a Taurus 24/7 Pro .40cal. I really like both guns. I plan on adding a Ruger 10/22 here pretty soon and maybe a Ruger revolver as well. I guess my favorite would be Remington.

I am just wondering how many people here with college degrees graduated on time? I am working on my Bachelors right now and I am a third year junior but probably won't graduate for at least 2 more years. I did my first two years at a community college, got my Associates, and then transferred to a University so I have a lot of hours that don't count towards my degree. Also, I work full time on midnights at a factory to pay for college (and my fishing habit, lol) so I am limited to about 15 hours a semester. I was just curious how long it took others to obtain their degrees. I am working on a Bachelor of Sciences in Occupational Safety & Health at Murray State University.

Sorry to jack the thread but I had a quick question is the Scorpion ya'll are referring to the red one or the silver one? I am looking for a new reel and the scorpion is sounding pretty good. Also what is the differnece between the scorpion 1000 mg and the metanium mg?

I would go with the Daiwa. I own a regular Advantage and I really like it. I returned an Accurist to get it becuse I just didn't care for the accurist after I bought it. The Daiwa feels more solid. i am sure the Super tuned would be even better.

Thanks for the replies. I love to see all of the varying POV's. That XD40 is one that I keep coming back to. A guy I work with has one and loves it. He keeps telling me the .40 is the superior round over the .45. Plus, it has to be good to be NRA gun of the year. Has any ever heard of Hi Point Firearms? They seem like a good gun plus they're in expensive.
