  1. Ditto... Punching and site fishing are 2 of my favorite ways to fish. I can do both for hours. I have been called many things but never disrespectful to anyone for anything. Mike
  2. And again.. Right handed, cast right and reel right and wouldn't have it any other way. Mike
  3. As it should be... Hopefully he gets jail time instead of just a fine. I wonder if they gave him a lie detector test? Never Mind ? Mike

    Trokar TK 130 Mike
  6. Well said It may help if you send this to the state. Mike
  7. If I understand your question correctly, It's because like everything else.... You're trying to match what you're throwing with what you're throwing it with. Lite wire hook's are made for light thin plastics useing light line with a light weight. Mike
  8. I tried a straight shank hook a while back. Other than useing them for thin plastic.. trick worms, speed craws etc. I went back to the gammy ewg and never looked back. You said you want to use them on Jelly Worms and Senkos also, for stick baits I use the skip gap style and Jelly Worms I use Trokar's. Point is for me there isn't a one style fits all. The recommendations you got above are right on imho Mike
  9. You're Right! ? Congrats! Mike
  10. Spec wise strictly speaking, deep cranking, most all light line finesse presentations. However, I don't choose what to use for what based solely on what a manufacturer says I should. I own a MH/F "rated" rod that I wouldn't hesitate to use for DD cranks. Use thier ratings solely as a recommendation to help guide you to make a decision. Thats all they are. Choose based on your waters and line. Mike
  11. Other than on top or punching through, I'd swim a speed worm or cut r with a pegged weight though the eel grass letting it fall with a few shakes as you bring it back. Mike
  12. With a hook.,. Through the rods hook keeper or a guide foot. Without a hook... A few wraps around the first guide, reel handle, reel seat or drag star. Mike
  13. Check the actual action instead of just relaying on what's stamped on the rod. Of the 2 the MH would probably be better because of its power. However, depending on the line you're gonna use, I'd be concerned about setting the hook on a spinnerbait with an excessive parabolic bend especially on a long cast. Mike
  14. They got that and more. I hope every Florida resident does the same. Mike
  15. @Catt If you will, keep us (if no one else is interested..me) updated of your experiences with it as we fish similar water. Interested in your real world opinion. Mike
  16. Well then there you go. If you want a stretchy flouro InvisX is for you. And Yes, as a quality fluorocarbon line that has all the attributes I want/need it Sniper is that "great" for me. Also, as I said before Tatsu is the gold standard especially for lighter finesse presentations, which as I've also said before I do not do. In my opinion Sniper and for different requirements Shooter, has an overall advantage. But as you put it..the end all? Until something else better than Sniper/Shooter for larger diameter lines and Tatsu for smaller lines comes along, yes I guess for me it is. Mike
  17. Sorry Pal! InvizX is good line if you don't mind it's inordinate amount of stretch. If you like mono for moving treble hook baits but want the advantages of flouro, it would be your best option. Seaguar may have invented it but in my opinion any advantage that gave has been long surpassed by others. Mike
  18. Absolutely the worst that can happen. Mike
  19. I tried InvisX a few years ago and used it for all techniques except 2 and liked it, until I tried Sniper and never spooled it again. InvisX has too much stretch for my liking and not as manageable as Sniper. Useing it for trebel hook moving baits would be ok, but for me Sniper is superior to all other flouro lines except Tatsu. Mike
  20. Sometimes he drives me crazy! But his show is one of the few that explains what he's using and why. Mike
  21. It's about time! ? Mike
  22. Unless you're using braid in and around shell, mussels or rock forget the leader. (Folks will be around soon to tell you how wrong I am) If you are, flouro will give you better abrasion resistance. Mike

I use it to wipe down the reels after applying on the line. Mike
  24. I just added a new tip to it. It's a little bigger than the original but doesn't affect anything. The action is a little more faster being shorter than intended but by dialing in the combo I've never lost a fish useing it. And that includes jerk baits of all sizes and top water from the standard size Spook to Pop R's. Mike
