  1. Hello and Welcome Back! Mike
  2. What helped me at first was just letting the weight of whatever you have tied on dictate the distance. Lock your elbow to your side and leave it there. When you let the line go that's in line with the reel, just use your thumb to control the spool. That's it. In time when your thumb memory kicks in, as you let it go just use you wrist to give you the distance. After a while you'll be able to pitch with both arms and you won't even have to touch the line. Keep at it, you'll get it. Mike
  3. Ditto I had one a looong time ago and even tho it made it easier to transport riding a bike to the lake, I would never own another. Ive seen them break too easily and feel too much sensitivity is lost at the joint. Maybe with all the new technology that isn't much of a problem any more but still, not for me. Mike

  13. It will be. Doesn't matter what you're in unless you run into some nasty weather. With 20mph winds you may get pushed around tho. Being in a small boat may be an advantage, as you'll be able to reach areas where others may not be able to get to. Good Luck Mike
  14. I use 12#, 14#, and 16# Sniper and 20# Shooter. To me the sensitivity of both lines are comparable to each other. I use Shooter for flipping in moderate to heavy cover where braid isn't really imperative. I also use it for moving baits through submerged grass. It's a tougher line than Sniper but "more sensitive"? Maybe, but not enough to make a difference. Mike
  15. There was a time that if I wanted it, I bought it..Never had the desire for a 600.00 rod or 300.00 reel but if I did it didn't matter. Now, If I need it..really need it, I'll buy it but I won't "cheap out" either. Quality equipment is available in almost all price points so I don't think it's always necessary to look for the best deal on a lesser quality product. But that's me. Mike
  16. With all the things we need to consider to be successful, now we debate if our line should be pink, yellow, green, smoke, clear etc??? People were catching fish long before someone figured out none should have been caught because they're too afraid of the color of the line !! C' Mon Guys... Sorry, continue on and don't mind me... Mike
