  2. Nope, not for Rodman or Lake George. Believe me when I tell you there are some very husky girls living in those lakes. . Especially in Rodman! Mike
  3. Good luck in your tournament's. ..Been fishing BFL's for a few years now as a co-angler also. Mike
  4. At one time the entire Revo line was one of the most talked about on here for a long time because they were, and still are, good reliable reels. I have an S and use it often. Good reel Mike
  5. Fish a few less tournaments and fun fish a lot more. Mike
  6. 2015 was alright I guess, tried to improve on my PB but came up short again. I fished too many tournaments.. BFL, TBF, B.A.S.S.Nations, a local club and a few charity ones also. The results were average, cashed in a few, but missed qualifying for the BFL regionals again. This time on the last afternoon of the last day of the last 2 day qualifier, as I was #32 going in but my boater got hurt tripping on his rods and falling backwards onto the livewells. Luckily I saw him at the last second and broke his fall. Still qualified for the Wild Card again and finished in the middle of the pack again. Qualified for the TBF and B.A.S.S. Nations Fla State Championships but didn't finish as high as I would have liked. This year I'm gonna try to fun fish much more. Just go out on an afternoon, wet a line and sit back. Mike

    Hello and Welcome Mike
  9. For Chatterbaits I use a 7' 2" MH/F Phenix M1 and 12# Yo Zuri. For Swim Jigs it's a Loomis MBR 843C GLX with 20# braid. Mike
  10. There have been beds in Okeechobee and Istokpoga for the past 3 weeks or so. Not many but enough that you don't have to run around looking for them. Once it starts getting a little cooler they will explode. Mike
  11. I hate those things too! Some people say they don't affect the fishing but I don't believe it. Mike
  12. Mrs Mike and I have the Galaxy Tab 3 and really like it. So much so that I can't remember the last time we both used our laptop's or even the desk top Mike
  13. Too heavy for sure. But too afraid to take anything out! Mike
  14. Hello Jeff and Welcome! Thank You for serving Mike
  15. You have somewhat of an advantage as you've already met the CEO and CFO. I really dont care what the position is or the job description. If someone comes before me looking for a job, how they present themselves, how knowledgeable they are about the position, can they answer every question intelligently without hesitation, have a clean work record and the requisite experience I hire them. The type of industry you're in doesn't matter. Your appearance will get you in the door so plan accordingly. But once you're in there, what matters most is what comes out of your mouth. I wish you the best of luck Mike
  16. Ain't that the truth!!
  17. I have both styles as a lot of folks. Other than what Smalljaw posted about balance, another advantage to having a split grip is that by grabbing the knob on the end, you will have a better grip of the rod when bombing a cast. Mike
  18. I throw the 90 on a H/F rod and use 30# braid. Mike
  19. Hello and Welcome! Mike
  20. Fishing rods and reels to me are like a pair of pants... Try them on, Check the length, Feel good all over? Is it the style I'm looking for? Can I afford it? Put it back on the rack or buy it. Mike
  21. You wade the Des Plaines River?? You Da Man!! Welcome Mike
  22. Thank You all for the replies, the article and video. I didn't even own any until our Roadtrip to Wilson Lake last year. I was paired with Brian Needham and we started to fish ledges. Talk about being out of my element!! I remember him saying he was useing a Siebert footbal jig and was catching fish while I was dragging a T Rig and doing nothing. He was kind enough to give me one and that did it! I didn't change my set up or hookset. I was useing an MH/F Allstar ASR jig rod. That's why I asked. Thanks again Mike
  23. Question...Why do feel the need to use a lower power rod and a different hook set when throwing a football jig? I hardly ever use a football jig as 90% of the waters I fish are mostly vegetation filled as opposed to rock. Just wondering, Thanks Mike
