I as the Capt'n don't have any glass rods, really don't see the need. I use a composite for all cranking with 12# Yo Zuri which gives me the sensitivity I need. With the rod I use (Phenix X11) and the little stretch the line gives, a glass rod would be too much. Welcome aboard Mike

I bought a gold Chronarch 100 SF reel from a friend. He said he bought it about 10yrs ago and that it was kind of a special reel. I know the SF means super fast but was wondering what makes it so..It was spooled with 20# Samurai braid and after a few casts on a Loomis MBR 843C GLX I was really impressed. An 1/8 oz weight with a brush hog just kept flying! Mike
