Soft plastics.
Yep I use a 4/0 Trokar TK 130 hook for regular bottom contact T rigging. I use these more for flippin and pitchin in heavy cover (but not for punching matt's ) and for casting and working back. Also a 5/0 Owner keel weighted hook (rage rig) for swimming over, in and through grass. Mike

Most versatile Spinnerbait configuration

most useful worm type
Rage Cut R. Think of it as a Senko with a rudder. Rig it one way and the rudder with keep the tail up as you swim it, turn it around and the tail will point down. Add to that the tails action...Well it's become my #1 choice for all conditions in shallow or mid depth water. Mike

Honey Candy Rage Cut R and Rage Craws mostly, but I have so much other stuff my index finger would be an inch shorter than the rest if I had to type it all Mike

2016 St Croix Legend Elite
I'm curious if any of you guys also fish a Loomis MBR 843 GLX? If so can you compare the 2? I have the Loomis and it also seems very light. I bought it for bottom contact presentation's in moderate cover but a little hesitant too. It is by far the most sensitive rod I've ever owned. I was thinking about getting 844 GLX or the Legend Elite. Thanks Mike

Spinnerbait/chatterbait rod
You didn't mention your price point but I use a 7' 2" MH/F Phenix M1. It's more than a Veritas but an excellent SB/CB rod. Mike

Where do you need to improve ?
I need to improve my confidence level and decision making when what I'm using isn't working. I'm always second guessing myself that I have the right bait tied on. Example..If throwing a T rig for a 1/2 hour and not getting bit I fight with myself... Should I just change colors, go to a different shape and action plastic (worm to maybe a craw) or tie on a jig! Or throwing a spinnerbait..Should I change the blade configuration, skirt color, or just put it down and throw a sq.bill! Drives me crazy!! Like all of us I have my "confidence baits" but when they're not working, I just stand there for a while saying to myself "Ok Mikey now whattca gonna do???? Mike
