Sometimes I use them on a Fla rig in heavy cover also when the bite is slow and I feel the need to throw a change up, especially in high pressured areas. Mike

Curious what everyone who uses them like. The G Money brand was recommended but wanted to ask what you guys use. Thanks Mike
  5. Enjoy your break Mike, Now you can relax a little more. Welcome Gary. I'm sure you'll do a great job, and congratulations on your retirement. Mike
  6. No, you fish as many as you like. Must be a minimum of 16 yrs old I believe. It's a point based system so obviously the more tournaments you fish the greater your chances of finishing in the top 50 at the end of the year to advance to the Regionals. Where if you finish in the top 6 you would qualify for the All American. However, if you pay for all 5 and fish only 2 you will qualify for the Wildcard tournament. Good Luck Mike

I've tried them all at one time or another but always come back to the Skinny Dipper and the Big EZ. Mike

  15. Welcome!! Mike
  16. I use a Falcon "Carolina Lizard Dragger" rod with 30# braid as my all around top water and swim bait rod. The rod itself is ideal for action and power. Useing 30# braid is not in all conditions, but all of my combo's have to do double duty. Mike
  17. My oldest is a gold Chronarch 100 SF (Love this thing, it may be a little bulkier than anything I have but with 20ld braid and paired with a Loomis MBR 843C GLX, it will cast a mile and won't backlash unless I really mess it up) Mike
  18. More often than not I'll use a green pumpkin with chartreuse dyed tails. Mike
  19. This year just goes to show, no matter how smart we think we by...drafting, Adding, dropping, sitting, activating etc...it still comes down to injuries, players not playing, scheme changes during the year, players falling out of favor etc. etc. All the things we can't control. But that's FF, thats why I play. Think about this...I've been in 1st place all year, have a first round bye in the playoffs, all while having the 5th hignest PF total! And now it looks like I'll lose my first playoff game! Figure that out! I think competitive is an understatement! Count me in too. Mike
  20. Agree... If I mess something up don't everybody get mad at me ! Mike
  21. Sure wish it would cool off down here. The a/c in the house have been on since last April! Mike
  22. Ditto That's the only way to do it that I know of also. It CAN work, then again maybe not. Just keep at it and build your resume over time, sometimes it can take years, just depends if you have enough of what they're looking for at that time and place. Good Luck Mike
  23. Ditto I don't personally use braid (Yo Zuri) for crank or spinnerbait's and I fish in the same type of waters. And for both it's 12# and I have no complaints. If you intend to use braid for long casting lures I personally wouldn't go over 30#. Mike
  24. IMHO, the copper based amber lens is best for driving as they will brighten things up considerably in low light situations. The green, silver or blue are for different types of sun. At least that's what I've been told. Mike
  25. I'm glad to see you're back posting again! Be Well Mike
