  1. I use a 7' 2" mh/f Phenix M1 for spinnerbaits and chatterbaits. I originally bought it thinking I'd use it for a second plastics rod but found it was too light for my liking, even tho it was plenty sensative enough. That's what I get for buying a rod without handling it first, but it's all good. Mike
  2. Hope you have a speedy recovery. Mike
  3. Braid in various lb test for stained water. Sniper in various lb test for clear water. Mike
  4. I like Sniper on my jig and plastic's combo because of the minimal stretch compared to what I was useing, it's sensitivity and manageability. I don't see an advantage to useing it for moving baits. For those I use Yo Zuri. Mike
  5. I used Invisex for about 2 yrs and just tolerated the stretch. Other than that I liked it and had no reason to change until I tried a spool of Sniper. That was it for Invisex Mike
  6. Oh Wow, I just don't know what to say. I'm so so sorry to here this... God Bless you Eric, Rest in Peace Brother Mike

Anyone entered in the BFL Wildcard tournament this weekend on Lake Hartwell?? If you are let me know, dinner is on me. Mike
  8. Flambeau AZ8, AZ6, AZ4 depending on the size you want. IMHO, they have all the right pockets, zippers and sections in the right place. They are perfect for a co angler as they are taller than the usual bag, but narrower which saves space. Mike
  9. Thanks Fellas... The rate of fall for a Rage Rigged... Rage Craw, Smokin Rooster, Cut R, Stucture Bug or Space Monkey with an Owner 5/0, 1/4 oz, molded keel weighted hook with the centering pin, is much slower than a 1/4 oz T rig, pegged or unpegged. Sure for punching or to penetrate very thick cover, a pegged T Rig is the only choice...But Other than for that one presentation, (I've been rigging both ways for a long time) I really can't say that one way gets bit more than the other. Keep in mind I fish In Florida where there isn't the cold water as in other locale's where a slower fall would be ideal. To me the rate of fall with a 1/4 oz or even the way it falls, horizontally or vertically doesn't make any appreciable difference. That's why I asked. Mike
  10. I've been messin around useing a pegged 1/4 oz tungsten weight when useing a Rage Craw instead of the Rage rigging method latley and doing fair with it. There is no difference on the retrieve obviously, but was curious if anyone prefer's a nose first initial drop instead of the horizontal drop a Rage Rig gives. Thanks Mike
  11. The old fashioned way has worked well enough that I don't see the need to change...use as many bobber stops as needed depending on the weight to keep it pegged. If punching matts tie a snell, if not a palomar for braid and the "No name" for heavy flouro. Mike
  12. If you want to use an internal weight and tex pose the hook to fish in heavy cover, google the "Stupid Tube Rig". Been useing it for years Mike
  13. I believe the Rams D hasn't allowed a TD in 2 games. They're playing Minn this week and I just don't trust Bridgewater. Plus he's been sacked a bunch Latley and the Rams D is in the top 3 Jax, who the Jets play are in the lower 1/3 of offences and Bortles still throws interceptions in bunches. If the Jets get ahead early, Jax will be forced to throw which could be a good Thing but probaby not. If it was me, I'd play the Rams. And agree with Carolina Bassin, Gurley is the smart play as of now. Mike

I use a pair of what are called "fold back mittens" I found them cruising the aisle of a Dicks last last year. The thumb and 4 fingers have a foldable flap that folds back and can be tucked in out of the way for casting, and then folded back over when not. For very cold days I use a small hand warmer in my palm.. Mike
  15. Try a Rage Cut R.. Sometimes when a shad imitater bite dies down, a plastic with the kind of action a Cut R gives will fire them up again. I like Honey Candy. Mike
  16. Don't need much. Gonna stock up on some TK 130 flippin hooks, change over all my flouro line setups to Sniper and do as I usually do...See something I just have to have, buy it, even tho I don't need it. Mike
  17. Go easy on me today Luke...Not feeling it for some reason Mike
  18. Find yourself a discontinued Techna A/V and now you have something! Mike
  19. Has anyone been fishing there lately? I'll be fishing the B.A.S.S. Nations State Champ next weekend out of the Venetian Gardens ramp in Leesburg. I've never fished there and have no idea where to start..If my boater ask's of course...I found a few previous posts here but they're kinda out of date. Thanks for anything you could share Mike
  20. "C'Mon fish...Yo Fish...Where you at fish"?? "C' Mon fish, I'm just gonna take you for a little ride with your buddy's"... "I PROMISE I'll throw you back" Yo Fish!!! Boater says are you talking to yourself again?? Ah......No Mike
