I'd take Benjamin, he's hot right now and I think he's in the top 10 overall. If you get return points in your league that also a plus. A fellow craps shooter once told me, when shooting dice... "The trend is your friend" I'd ride him till he falls off. But thats me Mike

Tip.... If you're spooling flouro, or any line for that matter, and you plan on useing a line conditioner product, soak an old nylon sock and run the line through that. Don't use cotton, you'll use too much and waste it. Mike

If you're walking treble hooked baits sharpen or replace them, even if new out of the package. Don't trust that they're good to go just because they're new. If you're walking a frog of any size, style or brand hold your set till you feel the fish...It's not easy I know. But if you're walking it good you should have plenty of slack as is, just give it a second more. Mike

He hasn't proven anything other than being the best of the worst of what the front office signed to play the position in the past 10yrs. I thought he did well in Denver, voted to start in the pro bowl etc. IMHO, His problem was McDaniel was over his head. He wanted to put his stamp on the team, and Cutler resented it. He wanted out and McDaniel found a buyer. FOR 2 1ST ROUND PICKS NO LESS! Orton was a stiff. Cutler will never get any respect from anyone no matter what he does, because of his past, turnovers and contract no matter who comes to his defense. All lot of it is deserved no doubt, but a lot isn't. As a life long Bears fan do I wish we had someone else...Sometimes sure But ya gotta dance with the one ya brought, no matter how ugly she is. Whew! Squeaked by this week. I was down 18 going in with Luck and Moncrief to play. Didn't look good for 3 quarters. Given my bench scored 67 and won by only 10, I got lucky. Sorry Matt Mike

At a BFL on Okeechobee earlier this year, I drew a boater who has been a guide there for 10yrs.. After the meeting we met to discuss the usual...where we will meet in the morning, can I bring him lunch, drinks, how many bags of ice etc. Then I ask my usual questions... Did you get a chance to pre fish? Do you have a plan for the day? Where we gonna start? What type of combos should I bring? Etc. He said to me..Quote..."I have to depend on your honor not to tell anyone where we're going, and what we're gonna do. I have 3 spots that I only go too during tounament's, I don't even take clients there, even if they're stuggling. I assured him that should not be a concern, I would never do that. We both had a limit by 8:30. He finished in the top 10, and I in the top 20 and both cashed. I have since fished that lake 3 times since in tournaments all as a co angler. We are the only 2 who know where it is and what we did and I didn't say anything and absolutely won't. Now, to me thats just professional courtesy...That man fishes for a living, I don't. So the question is, which I've been asked.. Would I fish it if I was by myself? ....Nope, won't do that either. Understanding It's not the same thing, but in a lot of ways it is. Mike

Agree about useing a trailer hook on spinnerbait's, I don't throw one without it...Ever. Changing your line from mono to braid or flouro "may" help detecting a bite in deeper water, agree again that excess slack with a stretching type of any line will make it harder to feel light hit's. If you're getting an inordinate amount of short strikes. To me that means you got them intersested but there's just something missing... Maybe change color, speed it up, slow it down, use plastics with less appendage's, use a smaller profile.... Or, move to a different location. Good Luck Mike

In the shallow salad bowls I fish down here, I rarely go heavier than 1/2 once. I'd rather use diffefent trailer's to control the rate of fall. 1/4oz for all swim types. Mike
