Brands don't pay me to not use other brands so Im open to use what I like. I do favor certain reels like Shimano baitcasters and daiwa spinning. My favorite reel though is a Pinnacle Deatbolt Classic baitcaster. DanKung dk150 might be next.

I still prefer spinning. Have daiwa t3 w/5g spool and a daiwa sv105 w/7g spool. Both with upgraded spool bearings. They weren't being used so bought bfs spool for them and still don't use them much. Imo bfs is for 1/8 and under and my spinning set-up still performs better at those weights

Visit linelaboratory often. Think every braid dia. test has tested over rated diameter. They also show graph for roundness which is nice to visual

Avocado oil is great on spool bearings to prevent smoking on hard fast bomb casts.

I have pure poison just never used it much no particular reason. Other than PB crappie my overall luck with any chatterbait bass wise is abysmal.

On casting I had alphas sv that the brakes would back off to 0 blowing up the spool

Always serviced my own. Decided to test the water and sent one reel out for service and it came back in worse shape. Plus the issue I sent it for didn't get fixed. Never again.
