Jackall Flick shake worm.
They're not durable at all - possibly even less durable than Senkos. Then again it's probably because they're very soft and have salt in them.

Yozuri
I got a 1 pound spool of it with about 30-40 yds missing if you're interested. It's approx 8000 yds total, minus the 30-40 I took to spool my Conquest 50S which has an ultra-shallow spool.

If you are looking to buy a Quantum Smoke PT, Please Read
Neither does the Itö. The hole edges in the spools of my Chronarchs, Curado SF, Chronarch Mg, Scorpion Mg, Scorpion 1000, Metanium XT and if I remember correctly Calais 100A are rough and quite sharp to the touch, the famous Shimano handle back play ? Still, they are nice reels don 'tcha think ? Thank goodness I already knew about the Ito thing before I bought them. Otherwise, when combined with the Alphas R-Edition blunder, I might have quit Daiwa altogether. I hear you about the sharp edges in Shimano spools though. I was taking out the spool on my old Curado 100D and gave myself a nice 3/4" gash on the index finger when my hand slipped.

The Alphas Ito had bare metal so it tarnishes like a mofo. One of mine also has slightly sloppy work in the handle porting, and the red paint used for the accents got onto parts of the handle it wasn't supposed to touch. The Alphas R-Edition's spool apparently doesn't have a R-tuned rotor. I didn't learn about that till after I already jumped on one. How's that for ticking people off? As for Shimano, my Conquest 50S has porting all over it. Not all of them are done perfectly smoothly. But you know what, that's fine with me. The Curado E7's had an issue where you would occasionally end up with a dud with tons of backplay. If you think about it, Shimanos in general get a lot of complaints regarding backplay.

Too bad I already found a bunch of Bomber Model B's for $5 a pop to my door already.

Looking for a Shimano Scorpion 1501 XT
If you want a Shimano that can handle light baits you should be looking for a Calcutta Conquest 51 or 51S. Otherwise you're better off going with a Daiwa Alphas Ito or Pixy.

Plastic fluke; any tips/help?
Try threading a shad colored SK Caffeine Shad onto a scrounger. Looks absolutely insane in the water! Catches fish too

Fluorocarbon with jerkbaits?
I've fished Pointer 78's, 97's, 100's, 128's, Staysees and Ito Vision 110's with 12# P-Line Halo and have yet to see any of them dip their noses down significantly when I let them suspend there. Sure, their noses are slightly lower than if I were fishing them on mono, but it's really not THAT big of a difference.

EARLY spring pond bass
A bulky soft plastic, fished weightless and slow seems to do it for me when the bass aren't hitting anything else.

Number of bearings in a baitcaster question?
Believe it or not, higher quality bearings may increase your chances of backlashing if you are a beginner. My Zillion became noticeably easier to backlash after I had ABEC-9 ceramic bearings installed in it. The same happened to my CVZ-103. The tradeoff is that they are now noticeably smoother on both the retrieve and cast, and I've noticed some gains in distance. It gets some taking used to now because I can no longer just sling baits as hard as I can because the spools are now so slick and fast that unless I turn up the tension a whole bunch they will backlash within the first 0.5 seconds when I swing the rod that hard. Then again, I no longer have to sling baits hard to get them to go far. So my advice to you is to stick to your current baitcaster, because sometimes higher quality ones have smoother freer spools, which may not always work out in your favor when you haven't yet gotten your muscle memory dialed in for how hard to cast baits, how hard to thumb the spool, etc.

Spring Sale coming
Too bad I couldn't find any spinnerbaits in the bargain bin! Then again your spinnerbaits were a great deal to begin with so no biggie. I would've bought some jigs from there but decided to get some heads to tie myself since I've been experimenting with silicone and mylar (the flashabou stuff) strands.

This is music?!?!
Autotune is still a novel concept to the tweens, which is why they still like it. By the time they hit 20 or so they will be sick of it. Then again, vocoders were just as bad, and talkbox + Korg combos are overdone too, yet you don't see people hating on Daft Punk because back when they started out their act was still novel too. I think if they had started out today instead of back then they would not nearly be as successful.

Megastrike Jigs
Another possibility might be brass. Bismuth and Brass are pretty close in terms of density from what I remember.

A few interesting observations about bass feeding habits / lure selection
I think I would do the exact opposite. If their eyesight is poor, I may as well have my lure whizz by their heads since they're not going to get a good look at it anyway. During times when their eyesight is good, I would slow down and use more realistic looking lures so they can get a good look at the presentation, find it enticing, and smack it hard.

Was this a (swimbait) bite?
I doubt it's a gar. I've caught plenty of gar and have yet to see them damage my line like a pike can.

Round reels
My favorite reel in my collection is a round reel - the Conquest 50S. It's got solid construction and will last a long time, and you would not believe how far it will chuck an 1/8 oz shaky head!

WTH is up with kids today??
I'm banking on the fact that there are so many spoiled underachieving kids with massive senses of entitlement these days. It'll make finding a good job so much easier if I'm competing with those schmucks. Plus I won't have to worry as much about losing my job to someone younger if these kinds of kids are gonna comprise a significant portion of the applicant pool.
