  1. I got my rod before becoming a mod. Loved it then. Just got off the river and caught 7 smallies , 1 lm and 2 cats on it. Jeff
  2. Man the scenery there is amazing. Good fish too. Jeff
  3. My Pinnacle spinning rod is my absolute favorite. I bought it without ever holding one and am planning on buying another. Don't know where to try one before you buy but I will say there high end stuff is really impressive. Jeff
  4. Sounds like a plan! Oh man! Topwater! WOW! Jeff
  5. LM - 10+ but I really want a teener!(10lb 14oz PB) SM- 7+ but dream of a 8+ (6lb 4 oz PB) That being said I ave 3 fish mounted. One is a skin mount my father had made fro me when I was 6 or 7. Over 20 years ago, they didn't have replicas. The other 2 are replicas. Every Bass I have caught over 5 lbs in the last 20 years has been released. I plan to keep it that way! Jeff
  6. Hmmm...What did she weight then and what now? Seems time is hard on old fish. You think it was time, or is there not enough food anymore? Non the less, a good fish then and now, but I get your sadness! Jeff
  7. Nice fish guys! Next time I'm down in FL we need to get together to fish! Jeff

Some photos of jigs by Tom(WRB) Jeff
  14. Oh man I am JEALOUS!!!!!!! One of the most fun things to do, yet I have never done with bass gear......... Jeff
  15. Yes. Minnows. He caught all of his on minnows, and from BP. He also said the jumbo minnows were very small and thought that might have played some part in the smaller fish. Jeff
  16. A buddy of mine fished below the dam 2 Saturdays ago and caught 20 smallies and spots. He fished all day and most were 10-14'' with this one Jeff
  17. BTW, I wish Cordova was a 3 min. drive to the dam. My wife would divorce me though. Jeff
  18. Might be a little early still. Water temp is not quite low enough, and we need the winter draw down to produce some current below the dam. Doesn't mean you can't do it, just not prime quite yet. Jeff
  19. Looks like you got em all in one day! Nice catching! Jeff

    1. I sometimes use a trailer, but mostly bare. 2. Same as rubber/silicone jig. Drag, hop and swim it. Also, I seem to get more hits on the initial fall of a hair jig as opposed to rubber/silicone 3. I mainly fish hair in the winter, or cooler water. 4. Only straight hair for me. Browns, greens, greys, black, white, and I have a river smallie special with pink in it. 5. I use ball heads in small and medium weights. A buddy ties a spun hair jig for me that uses a 5/8 and 3/4 head that is a picasso shakey head. The spun hair makes it fall REALLY slow, as it is very thick. He uses a felt material for the tied in trailer for these too. They are very neat. 6.Under 3/8 ball heads and see above for bigger. 7. I use 2 different setups. Small ball heads are fished on Pinnacle spinning rod/2500 ci4 reel. Larger are fished on St croix 7' m/f rod/curado 200e7 spun hair jigs....
  21. I can chunk a 5'' senko a good ways with it. Trust me when I say, you won't be disappointed! Jeff

Kent is a Missouri fan......they eeeked one out this weekend. Jeff
  23. My Pinnacle rod is a DHC5-701SPML. It is absolutely great. I frequently fish, wacky senko, live bait rig, weightless plastics, and shakey heads on it. It fishes more like a M rod. With the ci4 it weights 10.5 oz. Incredibly light and I think it would fit your purpose perfectly. I pick it up over my St. Croix elite almost every time. I like it that much! Jeff
  24. Nice bass and video! Love the topwater explosions! Here's another suggestion though: 3. http://www.alagnewsportswear.com/largemouth-bass-leather-belt-414-prd1.htm LOL Keep at em! Jeff
